I'm thrilled!
I am thrilled with my retractable screen. I put it up myself in less than 2 hours and am so pleased with the color. Being able to open the front door and let cool air flow through is ideal and because I have a beautiful wood front door, this retractable screen couldn't have been a better choice.

Fabulous Screen Door
I had seen this type of screen door in several home shows and large home centers but the price was $400. My search led to the ODL retractable screen door on the Overstock website. Bonus! It was on sale. Our contractor, while doing other work, installed it and it is great! It's used when a breeze and fresh air is desired through the house. I've already ordered another one for the front door. It took a little getting used to in the beginning - it doesn't look like the typical screen/storm door as it could have had us walking through it but past reviews were helpful.

A Dependable Retractable Screen
Simple design and easy installtion if door frame meets standard framing criteria. For my project, I had to install a filler piece above the top track to close in the space. Also, I needed to purchase another door threshold still plate so the bottom track could be attached to some type of framing structure. The interio door opened out to a patio.
- Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The color shown did not match the bronze color that was ordered. However, the bronze was what was required for the project.

Screen Perfect for Us
The standard door ODL retractable screen was just the product we needed for the inward opening door to our patio. We only had limited space on the frame around the door and did not want to keep holding the door open with one hand when taking food or refreshments out on the patio. I had no problem with the installation although it does take some minor modifications to fit the exact door sill configuration. If you are not handy with a hacksaw, drill, screwdriver, and making accurate measurements, this may not be the product for you. People with pets or young children or grandchildren will find the screen is very transparent when closed which could lead to children or pets running through it and damaging it.
