Let me start by saying I lusted after this rug for a while and finally when the Memorial day sale was ending, I broke down and bought it. I wanted it to brighten up my living room. We have dark hardwood floors and a dark grey couch. There needed to be a lighter rug on the floor and I wasn't in love with the shag look as my experience they tend to look cheaper This rug was a great alternative. The pile is varying heights and the pattern is great for a contemporary feel. It is not, however, a white or even ivory rug. It is more oatmeal color (go get the box of Quaker Oatmeal in your pantry and look). It works for my space, is a great size, and is soft and thick to walk on. Overall, I am happy with the purchase, although I do wish it was a tad lighter. We are still doing some updates (recessed lighting and painting the walls a light grey-beige) so that all should help with lighting as well.
First of all, it is really hard to find a 6 x 9 rug that doesn't look cheap. It's extra hard to find one in a solid color with some sort of interesting pattern going on. This one was a needle in a haystack. Love the quality, the size is perfect, the pile is great, and it sheds very little.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Not 100% ivory, has a bit of a gray hue to it, but very, very slight.
