I really wanted a review on this product before I ordered it, but took a gamble. First, the colors... The background color isn't cream, it's khaki, or a warm cream-gold. Also, wouldn't necessarily call this blue "teal" (teal, to me, implies a rich, saturated blue-green), muted teal at best. It's more of a medium blue with some variation & sheen that's more apparent in natural light. In lamp-light it looks more smoky-blue. I'm not crazy about the high-low texture: the khaki color is a flat-weave, and the blue is low-pile, but it's not as distracting as it could be. Overall it would be better if the whole rug were low (or better yet medium) pile to make it more plush. The rug is by no means plush, it's quite thin and will need a good rug pad. The style would fit best in traditional decor, but it also works nicely in my creams-and- beachy-blues cottage-decor. Overall it's quite nice for the price and seems to be good quality.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The first image is terrible, the aerial image of the rug staged with furniture is pretty accurate
I saw this rug at a model home and fell in love. I ordered the teal thinking it would be like pictured with a muted aqua. When it arrived it was a very bright teal, not like the picture. It is not muted at all. I had to return it. But the quality was very good and the rug looked nice.
I found this originally at *** for $*** more. Whenever I find something I like and want to buy, I first use google to find the best price for the item. This was where I found it! It was $*** less, I didn't have to wait 2-3 weeks for it to be shipped & it looks great! We've received some compliments on it. It looks more expensive & is a great color. I was worried about the color after reading some reviews, but I think it does look teal. Great product! Make sure you get a pad though, as with almost all rugs!
