I really wanted a microwave with some style and this definitely is it. I don't use it for cooking as much as just quick reheating and it's perfect for that. The controls are different from what I'm used to. Once I got the hang of how they work, they make sense. Love the feature of adding heating time in 10 second increments. I was on the lookout for some of the negative comments I'd read about the function and there are none. It operates perfectly and looks adorable.
It cute and fits I the space I have for a microwave. When you use it on the highest setting it make a horrible noise. You can touch the right side and it quiets a little. It does work well. Still learning the buttons. It's simple but I don't cook with it anyway I only wam thing up. I'm still confuse as to is it a 700 or 1000 watt as advertised. The book that came with it said 700 the description said 1000. I can't tell. Other tan the noise it works well.
My great XXXXXXXXX bit the dust & I needed a new microwave. As a single person, I did not need a big or midsize microwave that took up a lot of counterspace like my old one. I did like the XXXXXXXXX but they were too pricey. I saw this microwave & it seemed the right size & was really cute. My tests for a microwave are that they are reasonably fast & intuitive to use. I don't really cook in the microwave, except frozen vegetables. I just need one to heat frozen food & reheat food. This does the job & looks good too. It is also easy to use. I also wanted a microwave that fitted a full size dinner plate so I went to a local store & found a similar item & gave it the dinner plate test. The Nostalgia I purchased was perfect. It doesn't have a lot of buttons or choices for cooking, but I never really used those anyway. A nice basic, good looking microwave.
I was worried about this being a little pricey for a microwave, so of course I was thrilled to find it on Overstock.com! It's beautiful and very well made. Just the right size for me and more powerful than my old one. My only issue was that the learning curve was a little long for me, because the controls are so different from others I have used. If you are heating something for 30 seconds or a minute, you are good to go with a push of a button, but if you need some other time, you will probably need to read the directions.....no hard to do, just different. I would definitely recommend this to anybody that wants something stylist in their kitchen to set off the decor!
Cute! I have not used it yet as I do not eat microwaved foods. Just need this to heat health related products. I looked years ago for one that would fit under my cupboards, could not find one.. This is cute, fits under my low cupboards and hopefully will fit the bill when I need to heat my muscle wraps. Thank you Overstock!
