We received this product very well packaged. Pine is very soft, and the table arrived with just (2) minor dings that I found when inspecting each piece, and I don't think anyone else will notice. Many of the pieces had a filmy residue on them, but with some furniture cleaner and elbow grease, it came off easily after assembly. The instructions were unclear with incomplete diagrams, and I think they may have been for a different but similar model. In addition to the unclear written instructions, many pieces did not have a clear front or back side. It took quite a bit of planning ahead between me and my husband so that we didn't have to tear the pieces apart, so it probably took us about 2 hours to assemble the whole thing. The fasteners fit reasonably well in to their pre-drilled holes. There were only a few instances where we left out screws because the holes were completely out of line, and they do not affect the stability of the finished part. (We left out (2) screws in the main body, and then most of the screws in the door hinges, because otherwise the doors would ride crooked). The back did not have pre-drilled holes at all, so we drilled these (8) holes ourselves. The most difficult parts to attach were the magnets that keep the doors closed, because when you attach them directly on the pre-drilled holes, the magnets are not strong enough (they are too far away). We had to enlarge these holes a little bit so that we could move the magnets closer to the door. The top door is not centered in the opening, but rather it rides low in the frame. So when you sit down and are eye level with it, there is a gap between the top of the door and the bottom of the tabletop. Luckily, with the dark back in place, it is not very noticeable since it blocks any light from coming through. The only other part that bothers me is the fact that the hinges are on the right, so the doors open from left to right. For some reason it just looks strange to me. All in all, this was an OK purchase. I needed an entry table that was taller than most, and this fit the bill. The color was very accurate, and I appreciate that the wood was finished on all surfaces, not just the visible ones.

I purchased the Normandy Tobacco console table, tv stand and coffee table all from overstock.com. The product arrived very quickly and all of the products were in great condition. I had no issues assembling the product. Although it took some time to do, it was very rewarding to finish it myself. The only thing I would say is be careful with the lock pins as they snap easily. The quality of the product is amazing. I did not expect to get this furniture and keep it for many years. I am using it for an apartment, but these products will definitely be coming with me when I get a house. I will recommend this product to any one who wants a great product at an affordable price. I have recommended overstock.com to numerous people and I have made many purchases over the past few months. I am very pleased with everything.

We got this for the entrance hallway. Fits and looks great. I put 11x10x8 blue cloth bins in each of the side cubbies, looks great. The table arrived without the assembly instructions. I called Overstock on a Friday afternoon and had the instructions emailed to me by Tuesday morning. Great customer service. The table is great and so is Overstock.

I had to put this together by myself. It took about 90 minutes, 30 of those were spent reading instructions and laying out the parts. It was pretty easy - even putting on the doors. The furniture is wood, not laminanted board, so it looks really nice. It is just what I was looking for, and a great price.

Installatıon was very hard, I have done so many but this one ad terrible installation instruction. Trimming got broken at the time of the installation. It looks good great, and good price but it will take you 2-2.5 to install

I am not very impressed with this. The directions were terrible. The pre-drilled holes just did not work. I have still not been able to put the doors on. It just seems very cheaply made.

This table was a huge disappointment. It was extremely difficult to put together. One of the doors was split where the screw had to go in. The magnets on one of the doors didn't work so the door didn't shut all the way. Once assembled the table was wobbly. LIke the design of the table but sooo not worth the aggravation. We returned it.

Product looks worth well more than what I paid on Overstock! Very nice addition to our living room! I put this under our mounted TV. Excellent quality and fairly easy to put together.

Could be packed much better. First time had to get a new top because of huge crack. Minor chips on the rest of table, but could deal with them. Second table top came (after about 3 weeks) with a chip on the corner. Not worth dealing with Overstock customer service for another 3 weeks so I kept it. Would have been nice if they had shipped in a reasonable time and actually checked the product before they sent it out. Nice table, very sturdy and looks good as a console. Would have been nicer if it wasn't so damaged on both shipments.

perfect fit for where I wanted am using it for a table under a mounted flat sceen TV and is just the right size not to wide but wide enough to hold the dvd player. Put it together by myself took a little to understand the directions but once I got the parts right it just fell int place am very pleased with the results

The Normandy Console Table is a high quality table. It shipped in a timely manner and was exactly as it appeared on the website. The color is expresso. It arrived in excellent condition. The instructions weren't the best, but at the same time, with a little thought, it was easy to assemble. All in all, I believe it is an excellent table for the money. I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Very good table for the money. The holes for the cams were drilled a lillte large. My husband and I were able to put this together in a lillte over an hour.

I bought this for my entry way. I love this table. My only complaint would be that the top cabinet door doesn't sit flush but it is only off by a small amount. The directions were a bit tricky at first but once I got the first step done the rest was easy. The material seems very sturdy and this table is as well. I love the color. It goes with everything and the style is modern traditional. I would highly recommend this table to anyone as it beautiful and a great price.
