Dishes are beautiful. What a steal. great quality.

Though the background seems pure white on the web site, it is correctly identified as wheat. It has the subtle grain look. The checker board is slightly indented around the rim, which gives it some class, yet the indent isn't enough to create a problem for cleaning. The heft is good; the bowls more like rice bowls in depth, so good for cereal or soup. One doesn't get the feeling the dishes would be easily chipped yet they don't have major weight to them. They are hardy, as described, fit for microwave, dishwasher as well as the oven. The dinner plates aren't as large as some I've had in the past, but that suits me. I don't like plates that are so big the cabinet door can't shut properly. The dessert/salad plates are a bit smaller too. If you want a gargantuan set, this isn't the one for you. If you want one dainty, this isn't it either - it's in the middle, for weight and circumference.

I was pleasantly surprized when the dishes arrived. They look better in person than on the computer. I am very happy with them. I brought 2 sets so I would have a serve of 8, because they are 5 of us everytime we eat. The dishes are good enough for a formal dinner and durable enough for everyday. Great Buy. Our family recently did a kitchen remodel and these are a wonderful accent. They arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I ordered three sets and not one had anything wrong. I would highly recommend these to anyone for everyday. They are solid without having a chunky feel.

I was a little disappointed that the colors weren't as vibrate as they appear to be on the website. Also the background seems to be white or cream but it is not, it's more of a gray/tan color. I do like the style of the dinnerware. Overall the set is nice and seems to be durable.

I received both boxes with only one broken bowl. Overstock automatically sent a new bowl the next day. I could not ask for better service!!! The dishes are more beautiful in person than in the photo! I just love them and everyone that has seen them has raved over them! Thank you for such great service and prices!!! A customer forever!!!

great color, I use them everyday. they stand up to outdoor as well as indoor use. I would recommend these to everyone.
