The scalloped outside design of the baked goods have a slightly crisp edge to them and that really is a plus. Icing is fun if it is thinly spread or poured over them. The pan cleans easily especially is you soak it for a few minutes. I use a bakers spray type of shortening and the cakes always release easily. Superior, tough product!
