I have went to every stores looking for chair for my house and could not fine any that i like but my daughter told me to try overstock and i did and thats when i sew my chair and i love them they was easy to assembly and did not take long to get them. Thank You everyone at overstock. I will be backW

I agree with all previous reviews. The chairs look nice once you put them together. However, the instructions are poor, the quality of the wood is poor, and nothing lines up. After getting one chairback attached to the legs successfully, suddenly the "X" back cracked and split, causing us to use wood glue and a vise to reconnect. When attaching the leg/seat to the seatback/legs, the corner wood chipped off. Simple notes in the instructions such as not to tighten screws down until the parts were together would have prevented cracks and splits in the wood. I am disappointed with the overall quality and will second guess buying furniture in the future.

Buyer Beware!!! We purchased 4 sets of these chairs and were ecstatic about the price and quick shipping. Upon arrival and opening the box the chairs seemed nice. However, when we started assembling them we quickly changed our opinions. The backs are different sizes and do not fit the back legs that run up the back of the chair. The drill holes don't line up. You can not tighten the screws or they will crack through the wood. I read the other reviews that were posted after I had already purchased and it sounds like this is the way all the chairs are made. We decided to return the chairs and not make "adjusts" to them. I am completely disatisfied with the craftsmanship of the chairs! I would not even give them a 1 star rating!!! Overstock.com was very good about returning them.

Once the chairs are assembled they are comfortable. However it is the assembley that is difficult. Out of the six chairs I ordered, one went together somewhat smoothly. Otherwise none of the holes matched up and a lot of the hardware was missing. Thank god we are handy with wood working and can putty and drill new holes. Otherwise I think I would be out of luck and returning the chairs.

I ordered 8 chairs for my daughter - the price seemed very good, the delivery was very quick. My daughter and I started putting the chairs together and when we went to put the "x" backs on, the dowels did not line up at all, the top of the chair legs would not fit into the slot, they were too high. Since we thought it was a defective box, we opened the second box and there was the same problem, except one of the chair legs were too short to fit into the slot of the "x" back chair. We had to drill holes, and hammer the chair legs into the slots which caused the "x"s in the chair backs to crack at the top. When we were putting one of the chair seats on, there were only two screws holes to hold the seat and we had to drill two holes for the other two screws. I am returning the other two boxes and if we had not put the four chairs together already I would have returned them as well. This was a nightmare. The chairs are not hard to put together but the workmanship is so awful (I have put together a lot of furniture but I have never encountered such terrible workmanship) these chairs should not be sold. Also, as in the previous review, the screws did go through and crack the wood on the other side because they were too long. I will replace these chairs one by one as they break and I know they will break. Terrible Terrible product.

I received these chairs very quickly, and was impressed more with the fast shipping from Overstock than the chairs. They seem rather fragile, and a couple of the pieces did not fit adequately despite doing them over a couple of times. One of the chair legs sits shorter, it therefore wobbles. The back leg section is one piece from top to bottom--and is a rather thin leg for a dining chair. The seat is large, but the screws do not support the seat well--which has a 1/3 inch gap to the frame if you pull up on it, and screwing too tight will result in the screw puncturing the woodwork a visible fashion. Aesthetically, they look very nice (they have a finish to give off an antique appearance which I did not realize upon ordering), but my purchase was mainly for functionality and not just for decorative reasons. Therefore I cannot really recommend for practical every day use.
