Solid wood and quite heavy...couldn't have been easier to assemble. Arrived in pristine condition except for a half inch nick along one edge of the tabletop; not noticeable enough for me to return though. Matched the table with some 24" counter chairs and things couldn't be better.

This table turned out to be just what we wanted and needed. It looks great. It is sturdy and easy to put together. We are very pleased. We shopped and priced locally and online and this was the best price and we had no shipping charges.

I really like the table. It serves my purpose. I have small kitchen. Before I had a round table that was 42in round. It was too large for my kitchen. I can use my round table cloths, and my oval and round placemats on this table. Everyone who comes admire it. I also use it without a tablecloth it matches my woodwork in the kitchen. I purchased counterheight rod iron swivel chairs. They match a corner rod iron stand I already had. The stools that match the table don't have backs. I purchased them for extra short time seating I am very pleased. Be sure to measure so that you get the right height table and chairs for your area. I purchased 26in height chairs for my table.
The stools are higher than 26in. If there is a problem Overstock , will refund.
