The Newport swivel stools were a perfect match to our existing tables and the assembly was a snap. The fitment of the parts were good but the finish could have been better. With a better finish and even a higher price they would be an exceptional deal.

I am so pleased with the 6 counter stools that I purchased for my kitchen make-over. They are sturdy, beautiful, comfortable, and very easy to assemble. They were such a bargain for the quality.

This was my second purchase. First, I bought the matching Newport table and chairs. We were very happy with the quality and price. This furniture Is both beautiful and sturdy. Next, we ordered the stools. Once again they arrived quickly and we were very happy with the product. The seat on these stools is very wide and completely comfortable. The swivel feature is an added bonus.

I thought the price of the stools were very reasonable. Easy to assemble, well made and sturdy. Swiveled fairly easily. The only negative comment I have is the shipping box was damaged and one stool had a small pin hole on the side of the seat. the other had a scratch at the top of the seat. Only noticeable to my eye. Otherwise I was very happy with the look and construction of it.

Love them...love the look. My son put them together for me and they look great! I went with the black instead of the cherry, wasn't sure if the cherry would match my floors, but the black is awsome.

My two chairs arrived quite fast. After assembling the first chair, I turned it over and discovered a 1 inch cut in the edge/side of the upholstered seat. Inspect all parts first. I called the company and they were wonderful (I was a little scared at first). They sent me a replacement stool seat and everything was fine. They took VERY good care of me. THANKS ladies. : ) I am very impressed with their customer service and their employees. One note about assembly, tighten the 8 screws each a bit at a time like lugnuts on a wheel. Do NOT overtighten.

I purchased these stools for my new kitchen island and was really shocked at the quality of these stools. I feared they would look cheap with my new cabinets and quartz countertop but to my surprise, they finished off the look nicely. We wanted a stool that swiveled and the padded seat was an extra bonus.

Easy to put together. Felt sturdy when assembled. No missing parts. Bought for my son's kitchen counter. I would buy a pair for my bar if they were 30 inch height instead of 24 inch.

These stools were a complete surprise to me. Not only were they good looking, they were well made & very substantial. They were very easy to put together. It's really great to know you can get good quality furniture at such affordible prices. Keep up the good work.

These are great stools for the money. They're not super high quality but you get what you pay for. The upholstery on the seats is a little wonky but other than that they look very nice. The swivel feature is great. My only caution is to be careful when assembling. I was a little over zealous about getting the foot ring fully seated into the slot and some of them were VERY tight, so I grabbed a rubber mallet and gave it a few smacks and shattered the ring into four pieces. I had to glue and screw it back together. Don't use a mallet is my suggestion, let the screws pull the piece into place.

These stools are good quality and were very easy (for my husband) to assemble. As another purchaser mentioned, they are more of a solid flat, black. I didn't see any areas that appear distressed on mine. However, they work well in our kitchen and based on the other review, I wasn't expecting them to be distressed. Great price and fast shipment from Overstock.

We live in a smaller city, and I searched all of the local options for the counter-height barstools I pictured in my head - nothing even close. So having found the kitchen faucet I pictured in my head at Overstock, I checked here - and found these - bingo! We have a new natural-maple kitchen with black appliances and darker countertops, and our table is natural wood with black chairs, so I wanted all-black stools - and for the spot they will be used, they had to be counter-height, with a compact "footprint". I preferred padded seats - and the swivel seat was a bonus. My stepson put them together is about 20 minutes without asking a single question, so the instructions must have been very clear. These are no "knock-around" stools, they are heavy and sturdy, no tippiness even with my feet on the crossbar. The seat is generous in size and the swivel mechanism is smooth and quiet. They look right at home in my new kitchen - excellent value! After purchasing four items from Overstock this year, I have yet to be disappointed in the service and quality, and I am now recommending this site to friends.

Nice looking, sturdy, 16" diameter seats with smooth swivel. Very pleased with overall quality and look. Legs are nice thick pieces of wood and not cheap looking. I have two small complaints that kept me from giving all fives: 1. I would have liked the finish to be more antiqued, almost looks plain glossy black. 2. Two of threaded inserts for screws faulty and one corresponding hole too large that my husband had to modify...which he did easily.
