We got these chairs to go along with the Newport dining table about two years ago. After about 1.5 years of use, one of the chair legs just broke (a very sharp, lengthwise break) when my daughter pushed herself away from the table. It's a little surprising that chairs which otherwise seemed very sturdy broke so easily. Sadly, we can't repair it, but we would purchase more if they became available again. The other three chairs (we bought two sets) are great. They feel so solid and look very nice.

I bought two to see how they would look with my table and to check out their quality before commiting to more. I now have four and may spring for two more to have for dinner guests so I guess this pretty much speaks for itself. They're beautiful, sturdy, easy to put together, inexpensive and shipped very quickly. Yet another fine purchase and shopping experience with Overstock!

I bought 4 of these chairs to 'try them out', I bought the last 2 to complete my set. I am very satisfied with the packaging...the sturdiness and size of the final chair and the colors. It should be noted that a Power Drill is necessary to put these together. Care must be taken when attaching the legs or you will end up with chairs that are uneven and rock. I hand tighted the bolts, then placed the chair on a level surface and then tightened the bolts. It was perfect every time. Care also must be taken when attaching the seat. There are no predrilled holes, be sure your seat is centered before drilling the screw through the wood. I also added heavy felt pads to the bottom of the feet while assembling the chairs. Now they are perfect for my hard wood floors. I have had no issues with the paint peeling off.

Chairs were delivered on time. Unfortunately, the packaging they came in was quite beat up, but they were packaged so well that the chairs suffered no damage. The chairs were easy to put together. My only complaint is that there aren't holes drilled in the chair seat to allow it to be easily affixed to the chair frame. This can easily be fixed if you have a power drill, however. The chairs are sturdy, comfortable, and look great!

I ordered these chairs to go with a new table I purchased. They compliment the table in a very attractive dining room setting. I plan to purchase two more when I get some $$$. The quality and price were very reasonable and I love my chairs.

My family is very satisfied with the chairs. They look just like the picture and pieces were well constructed and solid. It helps to have a little handy man experience due to assembly requirements, but it wasn't too difficult.

I was extremely disappointed with the product. There were two of us trying to figure out how to get the screws to go all the way into the pre-drilled holes. We could only get them in half the way. I used toothpicks to see if the holes were actually deep enought to accomodate the screws and they were but no matter how I tried the screws only went in half way. Some of the wood was peeling off on the chairs and in my opinion they were of poor quality. On a different note they weren't that expensive so I guess the quality was according to price.

I bought 3 sets of these chairs to replace old dining room chairs. These look great and the 2 tone make them look more attractive. I am very happy with them!

All was fine with assembly and then I transported the chairs to the house they will be used in and scratched up one leg and had to do a little "repair" work. Was hugely disappointed that the wood "peeled back" so easily! Hope they hold up with use. They look nice and the price was right.

I bought these chairs to go along with the Newport table that I had already purchased, These chairs matched the table exactly and were a very decent quality for the price that I paid. I was able to put them together by myself and they are very sturdy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

They have similar chairs at *** for $124.00 each. I only orderd two at first (as most people did), to see if they were quality, sturdy chairs. They are very solid and sturdy. I ordered two more. So go ahead and order as many as you need. You wont be dissapointed!

Was disappointed; in so for, as each chair had one leg shorter than the other three which caused rocking. Had to glue and shim up that leg on each chair. Also didn't have enough washers for all the chairs - shorted on supplies Do love the look of the chairs once we got those items fixed..

I bought these chairs for my mom who is elderly and they are a bit heavy but very nice. I did not put them together but once done they are lovely. I expect they should out last my mom who is currently 97 years old. Very nice chairs good and solid. Wish they came assembled though.

My husband had made a beautiful cherrywood table and I have been looking for chairs for quite sometime. It is really hard to match the wood, so I got these in hopes the black as an accent would break things up so the color of the wood would not matter. As it turns out, it is perfect. The chairs were easy to assemble and very comfortable with the curved back. You cannot beat the price. They are very sturdy and solid. Another great deal on Overstock - Thanks

Very well made and easy to put together. These chairs are very sturdy and look great with our table.The comfort-ability of these chairs takes a while to get use to, but overall these are a great value and I would buy them again if I had to.

Thanks to previous reviewers for your helpful comments. I installed felt-tipped pegs onto the bottom of the chair legs prior to assembly. No complaints whatsoever.
