Newport Black/ Cherry 5-piece Dining Set

We needed a table for a small area in the kitchen and with the stools that store underneath it has given us so much more room...the kids love that the stools turn and it is so nice looking....we love it!

I had purchased this dinning set from OVERSTOCK.COM about a month ago at a great price. I had nothing but praises about the dinning table and the price I paid for the dinning set. It had took me less than 30 minutes to assemble, it was very easy. Now that I have discovered the big 'O', I can't think of going anywhere eles to do my shopping.

We ordered two sets and noticed immediately upon delivery that the boxes the tables were in were in terrible shape. They were torn in multiple places and had chunks of cardboard missing completely and other chunks taped over the gaping holes. We figured the tables were in bad shape as well, and we were right. There were several "dings' and chips all over. We are sending them back immediately. Other than the damage, I will say that the finish and craftsmanship appear to be quite nice. It is an attractive set with comfortable stools and a reasonable price. We would have been very happy with the set had they not been damaged.

I recieved my dining set about a week ago. I was searching for a small dining set for my new apt and my galley kitchen. It arrived in a few days in excellent condition. It was beautiful and very sturdy. The only negative is that I recieved 2 of my stools instead of the 4, but it was due to UPS error and nothing to do with Overstock. As soon as I called them up and advised of my complaint it was solved. I will be recieving my stools by Monday. This is my first purchase and I have now made two others.LOVE OVERSTOCK!
