    No idea why anyone would make a black ice maker. It traps heat so easily that just it melts the ice inside faster than it makes it. I managed to get two cups of ice over 3 hours. what a joke. it's also noisy during the ice making cycle. I bought a ********** unit instead and it works great. avoid this product.

    When I first ordered this item I was a bit skeptical. I was amazed at how quickly is started producing ice as soon as it was filled with water and turned on! We use the ice maker outside. When my son-in-law and I get home from work, there is a full bin of ice waiting for us and it keeps us in ice throughout the evening.
