Easy to setup, easy to operate, cools down a small room very quickly (225 Sq.Ft to300 Sq. Ft). It is a little to noisy, but for the purpose, it will bring the temperature in the room down from 85F to 72F within 15 to 25 minutes. The size is very good. I have to place it on my work desk to allow the vent to exit my window which is above my work desk. The ac unit comes with a exit cut-out window adapter and a vent hose that is flexible to fit most any setup. The unit is easy to move and is well made. I would recommend this ac unit to anyone who wants a quick set-up at a great price.Read More
I have to return this just on the level of noise alone. It is not possible to work and use this air conditioner in the same room. It will drive you crazy. The bigger problem is that you need to have it very close to you to keep cool. it does not spread around the room fast at all. that makes the noise much more of a problem.Read More
I did some research before selecting this unit, and I'm satisfied with it. It's not too noisy, has good airflow, and it's easy to set up and get running. The exhaust plate was easy to put in our standard window - just had to take the screen out. Best part is that no one can tell there is an AC installed in the window from the outside. Good product, very satisfied.Read More
Questions & Answers
Hello jjeepers, the window sliding kit can only be extended up to 42 inches maximum so you would need to purchase a separate window kit to attach the existing one to fit his sliding window. The exhaust hose is only 5 feet long and we do not recommend a longer exhaust hose be attached to the existing one because it will make the unit less efficient. Thank you for shopping with us.
Is this unit like a swamp cooler that cools by evaporation of water that must be poured or placed somehow inside of the machine? Does this unit create humidity?
Hello kathyvonbergen! This unit has received excellent reviews! The NewAir AC-10000E is a portable air conditioner and does not release humidity like a swamp cooler. The compressor in a portable air conditioner pulls out moisture from your air and contains it in the internal water tank of the unit. Once the water tank is full the drain plug in the rear of the unit will have to be released to drain the water. Water does not need to be poured into the unit like a swamp cooler. I hope this helps. Thanks for shopping with us.
Does this unit have dual hoses?
Hello dancekitty, this has a drain hose and a exhaust hose. Thank you for shopping with us.
does this unit need to be vented
Hello, luckykimberly. Hope your day is going well. The unit does require venting out a window. Window kit is included with the unit. Thank you for your interest and please feel free to contact us again with any further questions.
