Low Profile
What they mean by Low Profile is that the bed doesn't have a footboard. This makes it easier to make the bed and to watch TV lying down. You definitely need a box spring with this bed because it comes with only 4 wooden slats. If you're putting a new mattress on the bed, be sure to get a "low profile", "european-style" or "bunkyboard" type box spring, which is shorter than a normal box spring but provides the same degree of mattress support. Also, on this bed, the lip on the inside of the siderails is not centered, meaning that you can flip the siderails to lower or raise the bed by and inch or two depending on your preference.

Good quality but TOO TALL
The bed was delivered in just a little over 2 weeks which was good. It came in two boxes, well wrapped with no damage. The wood is sturdy and nice, the color is rich chocolate brown more like black. It only took 2 ppl 30 minutes or less to assemble, and was very easy to put them all together. The only downside is that if you have a regular size boxspring, i do not recommend this bed for it would then be just toooo tall. Even with our low-profile boxspring, it still ended up much higher than we'd expected.

Beautiful Bed
I am very happy with my purchase of the Nevis Low-Profile bed and the spice color is rich and warm. It was delivered about a week and a half after I placed the order and was very easy to assemble with two people. With a mattress and box spring it is VERY TALL so I do not know where the "low profile" comes from. My one complaint is that the center support leg was about 5 inches too short for the bed so it was either made incorrectly or the wrong piece was shipped. Other than that I think it is a great bed and looks fantastic!

very beautiful bed
I love this bed. It's the best looking bed I've ever seen. It's very heavy and solid. It was easy to assemble considering the weight.My only complaint would be the three support legs. You have to unscrew them almost all the way to get the proper length and it doesn't look nice.I wish it came in twin size so I could order two for the guest room.

Disappointed
Overall the bed is nice and looks good but it would be nice to know ahead of time that the bed only comes with three slats. When you're looking at platform beds naturally you're thinking you are going to get a bed with a platform. The description of the bed needs to include that the bed only comes with three slats and that you will have to buy and add more if you want the mattress to have enough support.

Nevis Queen Bed
It looks nice and is very sturdy. My only issue with the bed is that I have a tendency to clip myself with the curved legs.

Nevis Low-profile Spice Queen-size Bed
My husband & I love this bed frame. It's high up & we like this. Allows us to use our box spring with our mattress. Sturdy bed for us (we're medium sized people) Wood is pretty & design is simple with a touch of curve accent that creates an interesting & graceful appearance. It's easy to put together.

Nice
It's a nice bed, pretty color but I agree with others about the construction concerning the bed slates, there are only three so you need a box spring which really makes it NOT a low profile so I will either add slates from the hardware store or buy a box sring, other than that it's a nice bed.
