    This tea maker seems great at first and the other reviews are a little misleading because they were likely written after only a few uses. This team maker is very easy to use and convenient. However, after having it only three months and using it 4-5 times per week, I am waiting for a third plastic "steeping vessel" to be sent to me by the manufacturer. Let me explain: The bottom vessel is made of glass like a coffee pot (good), but the "steeping vessel" that is immediately above it, is made of cheap plastic (bad). The product makes a loud clicking noise (as designed and acknowledged in the owner's manual) when initiating a brew and when the brew is complete to allow the tea to pour into the glass pot. This loud clicking is due to a mechanism that punches a plug on the plastic vessel...and for a vessel made of cheap plastic this is bad engineering and causes the plastic vessel to crack and leak with normal use, making the tea maker unusable after only a short time. Fortunately, the manufacturer was willing to replace the vessel again under warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty will expire and the Overstock Return Policy will only provide a "partial refund" because it has been more than 30 days since I made the purchase. I rarely review anything online, but as a tea lover and someone who was excited to see such a product, I am thoroughly disappointed in this tea maker and in the return policy at Overstock. Only buy the Nesco Tea Maker if you like throwing away money.
