Nessco has stayed up with the times.
This is not just a Roaster. There is nothing that it does not do. Slow cook, Bake, Roast, Steam. I have roasted Chicken, and beef, made soup and Stew. Pulled Pork and Steamed Vegtables in it. Six quarts may seem small but with the way it is designed it is very roomy. I love the fact that if you are useing it in place of a crock pot and thing need to go on table, you can speed thing up.... Heavy Glass lid, with vent allows me to see inside with out loosing any steam or heat. I also have the Larger Nesco Roaster, but if I could only buy one it would be this one.....

Electric Roaster
Mu daughter wanted my old white one which was still in like new condition after 10 yrs. I wanted an upgrade so thought the stainless one would be nice plus a glass lid on this one. I use it often, especially in the summer so I don't have to heat the oven up. It works perfect for anything you would put in the oven and you can cook to your own speed. Have crock pots but this does things much better. Plus this new one has a non-stick surface which is really nice.......Would recommend this to anyone.

Fabulous!
Had one for years and wore it out. Recently purchased one for a gift AND one for myself. Once you have one...it is hard to live without. Use as a slow cooker OR as your oven. Tonight ....I will cook a Prime Rib Roast in it. I use my cooker at least 2 x's a week. ...Chicken,meatloaf,stuffed pepper, chili, soups, turkey,pasta sauce, ....so much MORE! Just love that Nesco came out with this smaller version of the cooker.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? could be better. My last one had a removable cord. this one does not NOR was it in the description.

Perfect size for empty nesters
I ordered this for use by just 2 of us...empty nesters. I have made chili and soups a couple of times each and the amount is just right for us with some leftovers. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use from this. Have only had it a few weeks so I can't speak to longevity,but I hope it will stand up to our use.
