The product is really nice for the value. It arrived with a small scratch but nothing that a coffee pot can't cover up. The quality was worth the money I paid.
I ordered 2 of these at the same time (first mistake) and upon opening, they both contained damaged veneer pieces in very visible places (both front kick plates) and on the side piece of one where something punctured the outside box. The original manufacturer's box is extremely heavy and simply shrink wrapped in plastic to keep it from falling apart. The pieces seemed to move around and slide against each other inside the box, which is likely one reason for the damage. I also witnessed my hurried UPS driver literally throw these off the truck into my driveway before he sped away. I felt lucky when I saw that the glass did not break. As with anything this heavy and already opened, it was not worth my time to return them or fight and wait for new pieces before putting them together, so I am just using these in less visible locations than I had planned. If I had known it was a veneer product, I would not have paid this much for them. I'm not usually disappointed with my O purchases, but this is a double loser. I do not recommend this product at all.
This buffet cabinet was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and well made. Although much wider than expected, I am keeping the unit because it offers good storage and it is strong enough to hold my many cookbooks, which are now displayed and protected by the lovely glass doors. Unfortunately, the dimensions provided were not correct so the unit did not fit where I had originally intended it to go. Dimensions given: 32 1/8 in. W x 41 3/8 in. H x 15 5/8 in. L. Actual dimensions:Dimensions: 41 3/8 in W. x 32 1/8 in. H x 15 5/8 in. L. Height and width are reversed.
I am so glad I bought this buffet table. It is REALLY REALLY NICE. It is constructed very well. Lots of space for storage and serving utensils. The glass doors make the table stand out. The color works perfect with my oak dinning room set. Shipment was quick and assembley was easy. Completely satisfied with this purchase.
