I do love my new shades. They were more affordable from overstock.com than anywhere else I looked. But there are a few things about them anyone who wants to purchase them should be aware of. Measure your windows very carefully. Had I been even a little bit haphazard in my measuring, I probably would have had to return them. The slats in the tops of the shades that are intended for use in mounting them, on some of the shades, were drilled at an angle which caused me to have to use my own drill to 'adjust' them so they would fit as they were supposed to. I was able to make those adjustments, but it made installing them a lot harder than I would have liked. And I was a bit afraid that I would adjust them only to find that they would not adjust sufficiently for mounting and necessitate finding an alternate method to hang them, since I would have been unable to return them. Fortunately for me that did not happen. The way the shades are made is a bit inconsistent. For instance, some of my shades have two cords for raising and lowering them--one on each end of the shade. Others, had three--one on each end and one in the middle. Also, some of the shades are not as thick and/or tightly woven as others. I hung two shades side by side in two double windows. The inconsistency in thickness/weave causes some to let in more light than others and can look strange when you have tightly woven and loosely woven shades mounted next to each other. This difference is only noticeable when the shades are down. Luckily this, and the different numbers of cords, does not bother me, but I do know it may bother some people, so just be aware. I bought seven of these shades and I intend to buy more in the future. Although they are probably not the highest quality shades, they are sufficient for my purposes and I love them. And, considering what I paid for them, I am satisfied that they are a good value for the price. My house looks so much nicer now that those hideous mini blinds are gone!

These shades surpassed my expectations. I don't usually write reviews - but I wanted to for these so that others would know to buy them. They are well made, very easy to install, sturdy, and darken the room way more than I though they would based on other reviews. They look exactly like their extremely expensive counterparts. As a bonus - Overstock had them at my house in two days.

I've purchased these types of shades before and these are far more sturdy, especially for the price. They were easy to install and fit perfectly. They raise and lower with no snags. They only issue is that they a darker in person than they appear in the photo, but they still look good in my room.

My husband and I were very pleased with the quality and professional look of this product. The shades were fairly easy to install even though the windows on our gallery (porch) are irregular. The color matched perfectly with the rattan furniture. The shades provide privacy and yet allow our tropical sun to shine through.

I recently purchased this shade for my nursery. The shade looks great. It is a bit long for our window (which I knew before purchasing), but this makes the cord extra long. Even with cutting it, it still hangs fairly low, so we will be making a fix to that so it doesn't become a hazard. It was easy to install and looks exactly like the picture

This shade was significantly darker than it appeared online, more of a brown than a tan. However, it arrived incredibly fast, and it does look good on the window. It doesn't have quite the elegance it seemed to in the picture (it looks a little more rustic) but it's a good value for the money. Pretty easy to install.
