I love this piece in our living room. It is large and provides shelves for pictures as well as perfect slots for TV and video components. I love the fact that whenever we want to change things up in the future we can turn it into a bookshelf and it is so unique for only being made from wood! great buy!

This is a great buy,but be warned you must have some knowledge on measurements and assembly. The instructions do not give you much to go on, so you will need previous experience with putting furniture together. Once we figured it out and put eveything together................We love it!

This bookcase is fantastic. I use it in my bedroom for my tv, books, jewelery box and still have roomf or more personal items. If you are looking for a nice and sapcious book case this one is for you.

The unit is nice and brings a fresh, modern look to the room. However, The holes where the screws go to connect the pieces could use a better solution to cover them up. They provide you these cheap, rediculous stickers to cover them up that don't even match the finish on the bookcase.

I love this piece. It is a great display case for books and assorted collectibles, and I very happy with how it looks in my living room. As others have said, it was challenging to put together. My son grumbled a bit about the instructions, but he had it assembled in about an hour. I am very happy with this purchase.

I rated it excellent but I wanted to rate it very good but they didn't have that rating. I want to rate it very good because I just didn't like one thing it was the circle peices that came with the product. I may have to request for some new circle peices. But overall I love the product it meets the needs that I wanted it for! Also it matches the rest of my living room furniture.

Organization is key when putting this item together. I can imagine how difficult it would be for one person to put it together alone, but it is manageable as long as you read through instructions before you begin, because some parts require you to do two things at once. Two of us put this together, so although it took a lot of time (almost 3 hours), it wasn't very taxing. The finished product looks good, exactly what I was looking for at a price that worked within my budget.

I purchased this book case for a narrow space in my bedroom. It was the perfect size and the perfect price. I'd seen this advertised in other sites but it was much more expensive. I'd even seen it advertise horizontally. This item fit the bill, it was the perfect size for the dvd player and the cable box. I also had enough room for books and other items. I was glad I got this because it was the perfect with for the space I was filling. I'm glad Overstock displayed it in this manner because I gave me an alternative I'd not considered.

The shelf was difficult to assemble and one of the parts did not fit. We ended up have to cut a piece and use wood glue to put that piece in place. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I would recommend this to a friend, BUT the packaging, directions & assembly of this bookshelf was TERRIBLE. Each piece is labeled, but whoever labeled the wood sections mislabeled them. Because they all look the same, just slightly different sizes, it was nearly impossible to discern which pieces the directions were referring to when trying to piece it all together. Additionally, they provided VERY cheap screws with the furniture and the screws immediately starting stripping when we drilled them into the appropriate holes. Now that it's together and we're using it, we love it. It's exactly like the photos and description and serves our needs perfectly. But, please be aware you need major patience leading up to the finished product or else you may find yourself taking a hammer to it and smashing it into pieces out of sheer frustration!! (my husband was moments away from doing this and had to be talked down, ha!) Good luck!

I've had this for a few days now and I love it! At first I was a bit apprehensive about buying this because some reviewers mentioned how difficult it was to put together, but I decided to give it a try anyway. My son and I managed to put this together in less than 2 hours. Once you get the first step out the way, the rest is easy. It's very sturdy and looks amazing. It really helped to clear space in my living room. I'm very happy with my purchase.

the cabinet looks great in my house! difficult to put together but not impossible. i did it by myself in a little over an hour. only thing I don't like is the stickers they send you to cover holes. other than that, love it!

I managed to put this together in 1.5 hours, all by myself. I think that qualifies me for Mensa membership. I also happen to be very good at projects like this. You just have to be very careful to follow the pictures exactly, so that you get the right pieces going in the right direction. This was exactly what I wanted, a slim, sturdy attractive cabinet at a very affordable price. I have a giant TV in a tiny apartment and I didn't want to take up a lot of floorspace, but I also love having a place to store a few of my beautiful photo books, and I don't like having all my tv components on top of a table or console. The one really cheap part of this unit is the little stickers they give you to cover all the screw holes. Stickers? Really? And they are only barely big enough to cover the holes. This is never going to look like an expensive piece of furniture, but I find it does the trick, looks clean and simple and just fits in nicely without drawing too much attention to itself.

Although the bookcase is made of pressboard and wood veneer it is strong and pretty heavy. The problem I had was with the directions. There were no instructions, only drawings. And the drawings did not accurately depict the pieces and the corresponding numbers stamped on the sides of the pieces were very hard to see. I am not a novice at putting furniture together but this took much longer than necessary because of the vagueness of the instructions.
