Please don't waste your money on this machine. I read several negative reviews elsewhere about this coffee maker before purchasing mine and, in retrospect, I wish I had listened. People complained that when it beeps to tell you the coffee is ready it sounds like a siren and it does. People complained that the filter basket leaks from the front corner and it does. People complained that the warming plate rusts and it did. I still liked it even though it did all those things. The coffee was good and the machine is very attractive. BUT...then I broke the carafe. If you break the carafe, you will have to buy another machine because there is NO REPLACEMENT CARAFE. I went to many stores looking for a replacement carafe to no avail. Then I called Mr. Coffee's customer service and they sent me a carafe that would not fit and was the wrong color. I called them again and waited while they sent another replacement...which turned out to be the same wrong thing again. Then I tried removing the lid, handle and band from the original and swapping those out with the ones on the replacement...still didn't work. Then I called their customer service again...this time I found out that there is no replacement for this coffee maker and they will not be making one for it. They told me they were very sorry and had no idea why they sent me the wrong thing twice...but that I would just have to buy a new coffee maker. Very sad since mine wasn't even a year old. P.S. You can't even find a replacement carafe by searching the internet.

Ordered this coffeemaker for my house in Florida and it is great. Makes good strong coffee and it's easy to program. You can adjust the temperature of the warmer so your coffee stays as warm as you want it.I'm going to order another one for my summer home.

So far so good. We like the looks and the coffee is brewed quickly. However, with any coffee maker the final evaluation is whether it continues to brew coffee. Our last maker (not this brand) quit on us after a year and others we have bought were less expensive than replacement carafes. We like the square basket and additional water filter.
