Great product, as billed
The product was shipped exactly on time, and received well packaged. The product itself is as described. The finish is mother of pearl finish on a 'stamped' base, but it's down quite well. No flaws in the finish. The base is a slight gold/brass with a sliver overtone, but somewhat dulled in finish. This is the intended look. The lamp shade is a creme/light tan. All other lamp parts are polished brass. The lamp assembled quickly and as expected. No part seemed out of place. The cord is a yellow cord. Overall the lamp is substantial in construction and looks amazing in our room. We bought two and couldn't be happier with the purchase.

not as advertised
"Mother of Pearl Lamp" is not accurate as a description for this product. It is not mother of pearl at all, but capiz shell that has been scored to make it somewhat look like tile shapes. Also, this scoring technique doesn't obscure the rounded outlines of the capiz shell so the faux mother of pearl look fails. If I saw this lamp in someone's home, I would never mistake it for mother of pearl. I was very disappointed when I pulled it out of the box.

Not your ordinary lamp
The style of this lamp is something you don't find everyday. Goes great with my blue and cream tones in my bedroom. Shade is way above average. Received many compliments on uniqueness of both base and shade. Good value for the $.

Beautiful!
I wasn't so sure about this lamp from the photo but once I received it I was extremely satisfied. It is much more beautiful, and substantial, than I anticipated.

While this is a beautiful lamp, it is not as "weighy" as I think it should be for the price. The appearance lends itself to a piece that is much more expensive until you pick it up. It is not substancial at all, but all in all - just for "looks" it does the job.
