the cognac tinting is quite dark ... so you won't get BRIGHT light in your rooms (and you'll want high-watt bulbs), but this is a beautiful fixture! I got two of them....

I purchased this lighting fixture for my living room in conjunction with a chandelier for my dining room. Shipping was expediate, as usual for Overstock. My husband encountered problems putting up both fixtures because the hardward included for mounting didn't work with our ceiling housing. A trip to the hardward store solved that problem. Even though this fixture's workmanship isn't up to my exacting standards because the mosiac tiles aren't as aligned and the grouting between the tiles isn't as neat as I would have liked, once mounted on the ceiling it's beautiful and coordinates wonderfully with the chandelier and decor of both rooms. I am beyond pleased with the overall look.
