Stylish & Sleek
Sharp looking, practical, and adds a small bit of flair to the kitchen countertop. It's stainless steel, not that substantial but of a pleasing design. The butter compartment is rather squarish and I've been contemplating purchasing block pounds of butter and cutting them down to fit. A standard "stubby" stick of butter fits just fine with plenty of surrounding room to spare. I've only washed this once since I've had butter in it and it seems to clean-up well (no greasy residue). It's just a small everyday item whose design pleased me - glad I made the purchase.

Great looking, Usability not so much
This is a very cool looking butter dish - it looks exactly like the picture. Unfortunately, someone didn't consider usability of design when they planned this out, as a standard stick of butter is too large for the holder. Otherwise it's perfect. But expect that you will have to wedge a regular stick of butter in slightly sideways to get it to fit, or else pre cut your butter to fit in here. It's a great looking item, very modern and cool, but functionality is a bit lacking there. Seems like a common sense part of the design review that got neglected!

It's a keeper....
It's not a hugely heavy gauge steel, but it's good quality and it won't break...which is what happens to all my nice crock style dishes of the past.... I have two men at home...and they are hard on things... it holds two sticks nicely and doesn't sit flat down on the counter... which is nice so it doesn't conduct the heat of it's surroundings.... for the money I recommend it.

pretty and easy to keep clean!
This is the best butter dish I have ever purchased. It accomodates three half sticks of butter. There is an elevated ridge which keeps the butter in its place and keeps the lid from getting into the butter. It is easy to grasp the lid and remove it, and it is very easy to clean and looks pretty on the table. It is stainless, so won't break. I don't think I will ever have to buy another butter dish, unless I want to get a second one just like it.
