Monterey Sable Daybed

Nice item, but took too long to put together. Also, when delivered, the box said 'do not lay flat', i found it laying flat after being out of town for days. It would have been nice to receive a delivery call--could have been stolen. Once putting together, the ridiculous amount of time to read the directions and construct was ANNOYING! At that point, i wished the item was stolen. Once complete, it's a nice item for an office/guest space.

Overall, this was a great buy. My only complaint would be that the picture appears to be a lighter wood finish than what actually arrived. I love the color even more than what is shown in the picture, although I was matching it to a desk, so now I must replace the desk. Extremely easy to assemble!

The daybed was worth the price I paid for it. However, I don't think it was ever worth the "original" price that was listed. I looked at a number of daybeds and like the unique styling. It fits well into my guest room, which I also use as study. It definitely takes two to assemble the bed, but the instructions were adequate and all the pieces fit well. Love that $2.95 delivery charge.

The daybed itself is handsome and very sturdy. I shopped around a good deal and found this to be the most attractive for the money. So, i was particularly pleased to find it of very good quality. As others have noted, it is much easier to build with two people...it is a large piece of furniture after all. There were a few screw holes for the slats that were not aligned well, but it was a very minor inconvenience. Shipping was quick and the shipper was very nice. I will say that I was unable to track the package though, which was a pain.

When the bed arrived, I was anxious to see if it was as nice looking as the picture reflected. It is even better looking! The wood is gorgeous and the style is unique. I purchased a 4" sofa bed mattress from Overstock and it fits beautifully on the bed; comfortable too. It's an attractive piece of furniture in my spare bedroom for guests. Assembly takes two people and the directions are straightforward. Delivery was only to my front door, but I was able to remove the bed from packaging and bring into the house by myself. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this bed.
