Headboard looks fantastic once assembled. It is extremely heavy for one person however I did manage to assemble it alone. If I had not assembled other items in the past I would have had some difficulty with the assembly/matching the actual item to the picture in the instructions. Took me 3 hours to assemble, but the results are well worth it. We love all the compartments and the overall look of this headboard....are looking at Maple nightstands for our next project.

This headboard looks very nice once assembled.We love that we have nooks to stash the sleep number remote and the TV remote and know where there are. The cat loves new nooks to hang out in.BE VERY CAREFUL when putting the dowels in the TOP piece... IT is VERY EASY to pound them right through the top (I did). put that piece on carpet laying flat and gently tap the dowels in and you'll be fine.Overall, we are pleased. We purchased this along with the side tables and it looks wonderful.

This headboard was fairly easy to assemble. The only problem was the shelves. They were not clearly marked on how they should go in. Otherwise, I am very happy with this headboard and is very sturdy. It is a heavy headboard though. Took two people to lift.

We bought this headboard after looking in stores for a while. While it is not real wood, it gives that appearance. Strongly recommend two people to do assembly. While not difficult, it goes more smoothly with two. Had to buy hardware to connect to bed frame, but no big deal. Overall, a very good value.

I was very pleased with the quality and appearance of the headboard, wow it looks good!!! The headboard was shipped very quickly, the box was very heavy, 95 lbs. I took it out of the box to get up stairs. The assembly was ok, I did make mistakes that I corrected before completing the assembly. The instructions can be confusing and for me it took a little longer to complete the assembly. It took me 2 hr's to complete the assembly. Putting the headboard together in the bedroom was the easiest to complete the assembly, 2 people moving the headboard is the best. I was very pleased overall with the Montego maple King size storage headboard, one word somes it up: awesome!!!!

This is overall a great value. I ordered this to match the Adrienne dressers I bought and it matches great! It is not solid wood and you need to be careful tightening the cams. It is a little heavy too. You need room to put it together. I ordered this and 2 others off of another site that are white (but made by the same manufacturer). The reason I gave 4 stars is because the holes to put on the molding are screwed on the back of the unit instead of the front (on this one and the white one). I called the company and they are sending me 2 more sides. The top corner was cracked too and they are sending me a new one. Very nice customer service.

We love our new Bookcase Headboard! This is an excellent buy for the money. Looks great too. Was fairly easy to assemble. Would recommend to family and friends.

This product completed my room. It offers more storage room and is asthetically pleasing. It was easy to put together and took no time at all. Although in the instructions, it shows how to attach to the bed, it does not offer hardware for this option. But overall, it is a plus to anyone's bedroom. Thanks!

Had been searching for maple headboard to match other furniture (seems to be a theme). Must agree with other reviews. Not top quality wood, but can't be beat for the price. Really adds the finishing touch to the bedroom. Be very careful when screwing pieces together - very easy to go too fast and pierce the other side. We love the little 'cubbies' - very hand for glasses, book, remote. Note that it does not attach to bed frame, but we actually find this to be a plus. Great value - very happy with this purchase!

When I received this headboard, my son put it together for me. He was over zealous when putting the top board of the headboard together and a few of the screws poked through. When I called the manufactorers about this they mailed me a new top board for nothing. I thought this was really a kind thing for them to do. I would order from them again!!!!!!

We purchased a King size Sleep number bed and needed a headboard for it. Shopped around and for the price and free delivery we couldn't pass it up. Came UPS without a scratch on the box. Easy to put together but would have liked if it included hardware to connect to bed frame. Matches perfectly with our bedroom furniture.

I had been looking for exactly this headboard in King Size for quite sometime, but it only came in twin - queen. As soon as it came online I ordered it and I am not disappointed! Keep in mind that it is not fine finished wood - as it is made out of MDF and other composite material, but it has given my bed a finished look and as an added feature, about a year ago, I had ordered a bench/cubby for the foot of the bed and this headboard matches the color and style of that cubby. I only gave it 3 stars for ease of assembly because the shelves and panels are a little heavy and requires you to get down on the floor to put it all together. These requirements get more difficult with age! but the value for the money gets 5 stars... the cubby has held up well and I am assuming that the headboard will as well. thanks overstock for your variety and your shipping - can't beat it!

Having looked far and wide for a King Storage Headboard, this was, honestly, our only choice. We took a gamble, knowing the very favorable pricing suggested not necessarily the highest quality workmanship. We wondered, would the advertised picture really represent the product? What would we do if it didn't? The outcome: true, the headboard is constructed of particle board, not wood, so this is not a high end product of elegance. But it is very well manufactured, relatively easy to construct (bear in mind, this is a large item that requires some maneuvering space to assemble) and once completed and in place, something we are throughly enjoying, as if it is that high-end product worth $1000. Storage space is fantastic, appearance is true to the picture and we are simply very happy. Finally, the shipping process was smooth. I was worried because people talked about hassles making returns, if necessary. True, with a 70 lb. product of this size, it would in fact have been a real problem, but mine were needless worries.

one of the lower skirt pieces either was not cut to proper length or the hole for the twust lock fastener was in the wrong place. when turning cam lock, it broke. had to trim a 1/4" off of piece to line it up and fish plate it myself

This was my first time trying furniture from Overstock. The product not only came with easy to read instructions, but it also included a timeline for how long it would take to assemble the product. Although I didn't attach the headboard to my bed frame in the end, it stands behind and fits my bed and room, perfectly. I will definitely order more furniture from them in the future.
