I prefer solid, authentic wood furniture, but I thought this headboard would be a good choice for my teenage son. Time will tell if the laminate holds up. My shipment arrived without any damage and all the parts were accounted for. The assembly was fairly easy. I did it myself but it would have been helpful to have an assistant when attaching the top and gables to the left and right sides. The gables on mine were loose and slipped out of the dowel. I wish the manufacturer had put markings on the backer to show where to nail the piece to the gables. I measured from the ends to the cam but was off sligthly, which resulted in my damaging the laminate.
I bought this headboard for the spare room in our second home. I had it shipped to my home then hauled it to the second home without checking out the parts. When I started to put it together I realized I had two left sides. I did manage to get the bed to work even though the holes on the one side don't match up. I know Overstock would have taken care of the problem if I had called them, but by the time I realized the mistake I had the headboard halfway put together. Other than this problem, it is a good headboard for the money. Just make sure to check the parts before putting together and throwing away the box.

This bookshelf was packed beautifully. Not a scratch when delivered. Easy to assemble. Time consuming, but easy to follow directions. My only advice is be careful when hammering the pegs in. We hammered in too far & went thru the top of the bookshelf. OOPS!!

After reading the previous reviews of this product I was a little afraid of attempting to try assembly. However I found assembly to be quick and very very easy. Once assembled product appears to be well built and no problems with quality was discovered. I am very pleased to have this added to my bedroom furniture.
