I have a tiny guest room in a small costal town in the tropics. The room is barely bigger than the queen-sized bed. I wanted to create a romantic, tropical feel for vacationing friends. I thought that something with an island feel would be fun and thought it might help draw the eye up and enlarge the feeling of the room. IT DID! I'm using mine as a canopy around the head of the bed. My guests have all loved it and complimented the decor--no one commented on the tiny room. It was very easy to assemble and install (less than 10 minutes, total). The fabric is very fine and looks like it could tear easily, but it hasn't torn, yet. It does fit all the way around a queen-sized bed, if you are using it for practical use.
