My husband and I just got married this summer and moved into a new apartment. With some of our wedding money we wanted to buy a nice rug (our first that wouldn't be a hand-me-down). I fell in love with the look of this rug and it seemed to fit our size and pile requirements. Sadly, the rug has been a disappointment. The rug is in our living room which we do use every day, but which we do not wear shoes in ever. Despite hardly ever being exposed to shoes that have been outdoors, the rug began to look dingy almost immediately. I vacuum it regularly, but this causes its own problems as the rug gives up a good deal of itself every time you vacuum it. It has also started to lose threads all on its own. I fear that it just won't last very long as a rug at all, even a dingy one. In the end, I would say that the design is wonderful and the pile height is great, but sadly the rug is just not made to last. If I had known what I know now, I would not have spent my wedding money on this rug.
