I ordered two as my first order off of Overstock. They arrived pretty fast and in good packaging. The stools were easy enough to assemble, and included a basic screwdriver (I used my own). The seat is surprisingly light before its assembled, but that's due to the fact its plastic. I assume its not particularly thick plastic, but a person shouldn't be able to break through or anything --the construction is sturdy enough. Not everyone will find these comfortable to sit on, but I had no problem and I have a big 6'1" frame. I couldn't imagine they would be comfortable for obese people. They didn't blow me away, but they do fit well into my clean-line, modern decor.

I bought four modern black adjustable barstools and I love them so much! They have a sleek ultra-modern look that I was going for. I have an island in the kitchen and because they adjust I have four barstools at that area, it is exactly the look I wanted! I can imagine paying a fortune for them in a specialty shop. Great buy, all four stools were very easy to put together. Highly recommend, New York.

I purchased 2 of the bar stools in "black" from overstock. Very easy to put together. Very comfortable to sit in. Very easy to adjust UP, but ... I cannot get either stool to adjust down in height! The first one is stuck in the highest position and I can't get it to come down. Is there some secret trick that I'm missing?Both bar stools started out in the absolute lowest position. I was wary by the time I tried the second one, so I carefully made sure not to let it go up too high ... I let it go up maybe halfway, hoping that if it wasn't all the way to the top, maybe I could figure out how to make it go back down. But no. I cannot get the 2nd bar stool to go back down either! So I've got one barstool that is up all the way (and that is TOO HIGH to use at our counter-height bar), and I have another one that is a little too high but not too bad, The problem is, I can't get either one to go back down lower again. I've tried sitting on the stool while holding down the lever, I've tried NOT sitting on it while holding the lever, I've tried pushing the lever up, down, to the side, I've even tried rotating that little cylinder handle thing that's on the lever, I've tried swiveling the chair while holding the lever up or down ... oh my goodness. Nothing works. Any ideas? I can see lots of reviews saying that the chair easily adjusts up AND down ... so I'm hoping someone out there can help. There must be some simple thing I'm overlooking. Thank you!

I have been looking for a chair like this one for a while. I saw them about a month ago on Overstock for a steal and ordered 3. I was nervous about them given the price but they work beautifully. They look great (i have had many comments on them) and work wonderfully, my 2 and 4 year old use them at the counter to eat breakfast, do crafts etc. I bought a 4th so we would all have one as they have been so popular. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful stools! They were bigger than I expected but nonetheless very stylish. My husband thought they were a bit hard to sit on but I find them fairly comfortable. Overall, great value for these modern stools!

These stools shipped well and assembled very easily. They look great and were a great value. The air suspension to go up and down is pretty cool. They are a little bit lightweight, but seem to be pretty stable so far.

When talking about the right product for the BEST price...this is definetly one. Not only did I spend less than I expected for a barstool, but after waiting for a long time to find one, this barstool WAS IT for me. I was worried that they would look cheap, that they would not be steady, break within a month, and all those things you get when you pay a low price. It's been 2 months since I bought them and I'm very happy with them, they look great in my transitional decorated home. Ohhh, forgot to mention, It's ajustable height is also very convenient, they can be use in many places when extra sitting is needed.

These chairs are a steal. They look 10x more expensive than they were on Overstock and they were a snap to assemble.

I bought these for a 5,000 sq ft custom modern home we are buidling and had serious concerns that they would look "cheap". They turned out to be beautiful and are incredibly comfortable. Great product--so great I ordered two more.

These bar stools are terrific. They are very comfortable to sit on and look very retro chic. The black has a beautiful shine and the chrome is super shiny which is just what we were looking for. They work fabulously behind our bar and everyone who comes over goes straight for the bar stool instead of the couches.

These bar stools were exactly what I want, something contemporary and not that old fashion stuff you see everywhere. Good value for a nice chair, you even can adjust in the height.

These bar stools were exactly what I needed to highlight the bar I just purchased. They are amazingly comfortable even thought they do not have a back. It took me about 10 minutes to put each chair together and that was great. Also, I like to ability change the height of the chair and this comes in handy when people are seated at a bar. Overall, this is a great product and I am ordering two more for my bar.

barstools swivel very nice, and are easy to assemble. scratch very easily and collect dust like you wouldnt believe. Had a little trouble making order right one got lost in transit and was never found.Had to settle for different color but was eventually made right.

I purchased this stool for my basement that I remodeled into a game room. The kids really like them and they fit the decor great. Not too bad to assemble.
