My wife and I had debated which Kitchenaid color to buy, as colors seen on a computer screen don't always reflect reality. We were looking for something in the gray family. Our trips to various stores weren't much help for several reasons: (1) limited colors on display, (2) mixers displayed where the salesperson couldn't identify the exact color on display, and (3) we found some colors that were no longer on the Kitchenaid website as current colors. The metallic series Artisan mixer we found on Overstock in brushed nickel was exactly what we were looking for, and was*** cheaper than any metallic series Artisan mixer we had seen. After the mail-in rebate, the price was ***. Slightly less than we would have paid for a regular color on sale at ***, etc. The picture on the Overstock website were an exact match to how the mixer looked on our counter. My wife hates to buy to buy things unseen from the Internet, but this time she was extremely pleased with the decision.

I had a KitchenAid mixer years ago but it wasn't a tilt-head so I sold it. Never wanted to spend the $$$ for a new one but saw these refurbished ones on Overstock. At about 2/3 of the regular price, this Artisan mixer is wonderful! Runs smoothly, perfectly mixed up our biscotti dough and came with attachments. The whole package looks brand new and acts like it too! So glad I finally have my KitchenAid Mixer!

I love this mixer. I've only had it a month, but I have used it several times. Making cookies, sticky buns, bread and cakes. I have wanted a stand mixer since I was a young girl, but could never afford one. I have been shopping for one seriously in the past year. I saw this refurbished one and jumped on it. I read other reviews (very helpful) and purchased this one the day I first looked at it. I also got the 2 year replacement plan. I am very happy with both purchases and would recommend a refurbished mixer to anyone. It works just like I expected-it is a dream for cooks. I wil separately purchase the mixing shield and possible a cover for it at a later date.

I had another Artisan (also refurbished), but it broke during a move 2 years ago (my fault). I've been wanting another one for a while and finally bought this one when I had a coupon. I didn't really want white, I thought I wanted one of the other beautiful colors available, but I actually quite like it now. It works perfectly and makes baking much more enjoyable. I would recommend buying the refurbished Artisan and then buying an extra bowl or attachments with the money you save. Very pleased with my purchase!

I was thrilled when I found this item. After I ordered it, I found a brand new model for less money than what I paid for the refurbished mixer at 2 different stores. The mixer works very good and I am happy with this product.

I've wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for YEARS but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money for "just a mixer." I have had this for about three weeks and have used it more than I ever imagined. I use it 2-3 times per week on everything from cheesecakes to cookie dough to sourdough bread!! The red is beautiful and I feel like it is a beautiful trophy sitting on my counter. The clean up is so easy. Totally worth the investiment.

I keep mine in the freezer compartment of my fridge so it is ready at all times. It makes plenty for 2 people to last a week, depending on your appetite. Probably one sitting for a larger family. I like it when it is just out made, like a soft serve. Still trying out recipes , and the fact I control what goes in is big for me , a diabetic. Especially love making it with canned coconut milk !

I received this item as a Mother's Day gift from my sons, but it was exactly what I wanted. It is always listed at the top of all the reviews, and I can see why! This is a work horse! I have made bread dough, cookies, and cakes with ease with this machine. I took a cake decorating class and was required to make 2 batches of buttercream frosting (med. and stiff consistency) each week, as well as Royal Icing. I burned out the motor on my hand mixer...it was just too much for it. The KitchenAid whips up my largest frosting batches effortlessly. This machine is heavy! I set it on a kitchen towel and it slides back and forth under my kitchen counter with ease. There is no point finding a home in the cupboard for it since I use it at least every other day. I would highly recommend this item, and I would highly recommend ordering it from Overstock.com...they had the absolute lowest price on this item anywhere!

I love the 4 1/2 qt bowl size of this mixer and I was surprised and pleased with the "stir" speed, that my older mixer doesn't have. I also love the apple green color. The mixer works effortlessly on mixing cookie, as well as pie dough and I am completely happy with it.

I am very pleased with the service of Overstock.Com, When I ordered my machine it was delivered in a timely manner and at a price that was what I could afford. I replaced my old KitchenAid that was very loud. I could not stand to be in the same room with it. However this KP26MIXCV is louder than I would like I can stand to be in the room. I made Cinnimon Roll Pastry today and it worked wonderfull they say to leave it on no #2 on the dough hook. The noise level came down after the machine ran awhile. I like making whole wheat pastry and I am very sure that I will enjoy the machine for years to come

I've had kitchen mixers before and I'll always have one. This is a very good model with plenty of mixing room and sturdy metal attachments. This has a better design for a splash guard than my previous 2 piece splash guard.

The first go wasn't a big success, but I didn't have the bowl in the freezer over night. Now I did stick the bowl outside in subzero temperatures for 4 hours...which I thought would suffice. I got a recipe online to try out. The ice cream me and a friend made turned out more like a custard than an ice cream. Don't get me wrong it tastes fine frozen, but wasn't what I expected. I think if I would have used a kitchenaid recipe I would have been fine. I also had my mixer on speed 2 instead of stir so I think I botched my first attempted on many levels. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend just yet, but I might after I get a batch to work out! I love all the KitchenAid attachments I own, I can only assume this will be great too.

The mixer arrived as scheduled. When I opened it I was to see that it looked brand new, not a scratch on it. I have used the mixer 4 or 5 times now and it worked flawlessly. I made large batch of cannoli filling with it which is very dense and it mixer it completely in about 2 minutes. I also whipped cream with it and that was also a breeze. The price was great, saved at least $140 as compared to a new mixer. Wish I'd gotten it sooner.

Very sturdy and easy to use. Only problem in countered was the numbers on the dial were a little hard to read and the recipe for the basic pasta that was included with the attachment did not turn out very good after 2 attempts. Well use another recipe next time.

Best mixer ever and the price on overstock was the best I have ever seen. Been wanting this mixer for 2 years and it was worth the wait. It mixes everything perfectly and much faster than my old mixer.

Price was fair. Package was damaged on arrival, but contents were OK. Durability expected to be good, since these mixers tend to last for several generations (I have great confidence in brand). First use was a quadruple batch of Italian bread, mixed up and kneaded almost before we knew it -- VERY FAST! We chose this specific model for the high power (575 Watt) motor, obviously why it works so fast. Our old mixer has 275 Watts, took 2-3 times as long to mix. Dough hook is very effective at mixing and kneading. Wire whip gives fabulous results, very quick! We cook for large crowds of 30 - 75 at a time, so it is just about right for us. Would not recommend this to others, as it is just too much mixer for the average homemaker.

I purchased this mixer for my girlfriend who is a novice baker generally tired of hand mixing cakes, batter, etc. This is a typical product as would be sold in a box store but not high-end by any means. Her excitement to get started baking before Christmas made this into an early gift. Since it was delivered in 2 business days exceptionally well protected I was plesantly suprised. As with most of our counter-top appliances I was intrigued with the look and feel. Sadly it feels cheaper due to its mostly plastic design and is louder than one would image. This is definitely a small mixer when compared to the 5-6 hundred dollar models. The suction cups do hold the unit to the counter based on its weight but keep an eye on it as they occaisionally come loose and it begins to move. The plastic release button feels firm but I would recommend placing a small amount of pressure on the top in order to allow the release latch to disengage smoothly. The hinge is not spring loaded so careful manipulation in the open position is required. Although enough for young people learning to bake, probably not ideal for the more experienced ones making large quantities or even certain breads. We tried making ... bread and ended up making the dough by hand. After a few minutes the mixer was struggling to turn. However on more simple recipies like cakes, cornbreads, and breakfast items the mixer performed as expected. The small bowl (3 qt. usable) and plastic mixer head is really what brought down my review. Overall not a bad product for what it is but probably will need to be upgraded to an intermediate or professional level mixer within the next few months.

I bought this on black friday as a doorbuster, when I received it, it was in great condition, looked new. When I went to use the dough hook to make 2 loaves of bread, the kitchen aid shook alot which resulted in it eventually shaking the lock lever back to the beginning position. I felt that maybe it was because I used to much dough so I halved my recipe and it still does it. I love kitchen aid and it works great besides this flaw which is pretty big in my eyes considering the price. I feel that it's a possibility that the product was originally brought back due tot his flaw but I'm not sure. I bought the warranty through overstock and I'm hopping to be able to get a replacement if not I'll just ask for a refund.

Unpacked the machine from an overstock repack box, not a kitchenAid box. The unit cosmetically was good with no scratches or external wear, but the bowl lift mechanism was non functional. What really ticked me off about this is that the mixer was for my vacation home. I packed it all the way there to find that it didn't work. I suppose I should have checked it before I left for the distant location, but I shouldn't have to do that if the unit was carefully checked & repaired as needed by "trained" techs! I ended up repairing it myself instead of going through the crap of having to haul it back, shipping it back, then waiting for it to be repaired or replaced. I usually figure that if a product is refurbished, it's should go through inspections & trials, but this was not the case. Cost me about $10 & 2 hours of my vacation time to fix it correctly. I guess like the saying goes, "If you want something done right, do it yourself!" I doubt customer service will see this!

I bought this mixer almost 2 years ago, and I still LOVE it! The color is gorgeous. It sits out on my counter so I can see it everyday :) I was able to find a rebate on the KitchenAid website and sent in my overstock receipt to receive a free glass bowl too! It works perfectly, no problems at all.
What exactly can you use a food processor for? It can be confusing to know what you're supposed to do with all the different attachments.
