I have always wanted a Kitchenaid mixer but the price was outrageous. I was nervous about a refurbished mixer, but for the price I thought I would try it and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. This mixer is awesome and it looks like brand new. I only have it about 2 weeks and all I want to do is bake something so I can use it. Thank you overstock.com you made me a very happy person...

I've not had it very long but like it very much so far. Used it to mix heavy dough and it works real well. Tried it with 2 pounds of hamburger meat and it had no difficulty at all. Be aware that the Cobalt Blue color is a bit darker than what is shown on the website images. I've got the pasta roller attachment and it works well too.

I purchased this mixer for my girlfriend who is a novice baker generally tired of hand mixing cakes, batter, etc. This is a typical product as would be sold in a box store but not high-end by any means. Her excitement to get started baking before Christmas made this into an early gift. Since it was delivered in 2 business days exceptionally well protected I was plesantly suprised. As with most of our counter-top appliances I was intrigued with the look and feel. Sadly it feels cheaper due to its mostly plastic design and is louder than one would image. This is definitely a small mixer when compared to the 5-6 hundred dollar models. The suction cups do hold the unit to the counter based on its weight but keep an eye on it as they occaisionally come loose and it begins to move. The plastic release button feels firm but I would recommend placing a small amount of pressure on the top in order to allow the release latch to disengage smoothly. The hinge is not spring loaded so careful manipulation in the open position is required. Although enough for young people learning to bake, probably not ideal for the more experienced ones making large quantities or even certain breads. We tried making ... bread and ended up making the dough by hand. After a few minutes the mixer was struggling to turn. However on more simple recipies like cakes, cornbreads, and breakfast items the mixer performed as expected. The small bowl (3 qt. usable) and plastic mixer head is really what brought down my review. Overall not a bad product for what it is but probably will need to be upgraded to an intermediate or professional level mixer within the next few months.

The mixer arrived as scheduled. When I opened it I was to see that it looked brand new, not a scratch on it. I have used the mixer 4 or 5 times now and it worked flawlessly. I made large batch of cannoli filling with it which is very dense and it mixer it completely in about 2 minutes. I also whipped cream with it and that was also a breeze. The price was great, saved at least $140 as compared to a new mixer. Wish I'd gotten it sooner.

I love to bake & I knew my mom would never part with her 25+ year old KA mixer; Id have to find my own! I figured with the 6 quart\lift model that I was after; would require a pretty decent amount of money. So, I was thrilled to find this refurbished model for an amazing price. I was beyond happy to finally be able to purchase my KitchenAid Pro mixer. I wasnt totally sure of how great the condition would be, but was happy to find it in new condition, no marks/scratches, or any signs of use at all. I was a little worried because the packaging wasnt what I expected as ideal, and I could see how it could arrive damaged from shipping. However, everything arrived in perfect condition. All parts looked good as well, but I did wish they included the pouring shield. My new beauty had a spot waiting for it on my counter, and when plugged in, turned on- worked! Ive only had the opportunity to use it once so far, but it was the best batch of homemade choc. chip cookies Ive made to date. But it will get a ton of use when the holidays come back around. There is no comparing the mixing power on this. Clean up was easy, but I do wish the paddles\whisks were dishwasher safe. The color looks amazing, and Im so happy I went with the metallic chrome; it fits in well with my stainless appliances, its so pretty. I did purchase the 2 year warranty, since KitchenAid only provides 6 months, but hopefully I never have to use it. So far Im completely elated with my purchase.

Had to buy one for our 2nd home since we use ours at our main home all the time. I'm pleased with this one, and know KitchenAid quality is so high that a refurb will last us for generations. Recommended!

Difficult to clean the insides of the bowl with a spatula without getting it caught in the beater or without turning it off and lifting the beaters; would be best if the beaters moved around the inside of the bowl or if the bowl would move around; the mixture finally does get mixed but could be accomplished sooner with more movement by the beaters or bowl; Also, need 2 hands to lift the head up - one to push the release button and one to actually lift the head; would help if the button was somewhere on the head so one hand could push the 'release' and lift at the same time; good suction on the bottom, mixer does not move at all; beaters very easy to remove or insert; although not extremely heavy, seems to be designed to sit on the counter top rather than remove from a cabinet and carry to the counter top; smooth lines, easy to wipe clean; would like to have a small bowl for whisking small quantities; to date, have only used the basic mixer head. Not sure if I would purchase again.

When I got this product it was in pretty good shape. Knowing it was refurbished I was a little skeptical but wanted to give it a try since the price was right. There were only a couple scratches on the side. When I used it the first time I thought it was really noisy on speed 2-3 and was going to return it since it didn't sound like a "new" Kitchenaid mixer I had used in the past. I went to a department store & had them plug in a "new" Pro 600 mixer and mine didn't sound too much louder than that one so I kept it. I have used it a few times and it does a great job. My old mixers don't even compare. This mixer is so fast and mixes ingredients up quickly. I have no regrets about buying this refurbished mixer.

After having my 4-1/2 quart Kitchen-Aid for over 20 years, I decided I wanted an upgrade.I shopped around for a great deal and Overstock did not let me down. A great price!! The bowl is hard to get attached to the lift but I'm hoping with a lot of use it'll get easier. My favorite setting is "stir", when you first turn it on. It does not throw flour all over the place, (like my old mixer) starting very slow. I haven't used the shield at all! This model fits perfectly under my cabinets so I can keep it handy on the counter. LOVE my Kitchen-Aid!!

I had purchased one for my daughter about 2 years ago the 5qt and she loved it. She uses it just about every weekend to bake and make mash potatoes. I'm the one that does all the baking for the holidays, so I finally got the 6 qt. I just love it. As others reviews stated to put the bowl in its a little tricking. I first thought all my god I have to return it but I remembered the reviews and just played with it and it went in. I tested it out and works great. I ordered the side scraper as I read other reviews waiting for my shipment. It comes with the pouring shield which it did not state. I purchased one and going to return today. I'm just sorry I didn't purchase years ago, it would have made my baking much easier.

My 10 year old Kitchen Aid finally died while I was mixing some pizza dough; after much research, I decided to go with this machine. I have had the Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine for over 2 years now, and I absolutely LOVE it! We are a family of 6, and when I say I have used it at least 2 times a week for the past 2 years, I am not exaggerating! We make a lot of pizza dough, bread dough, cookies, and my family's favorite - mashed potatoes! This machine can easily mix 2 double-batches of bread dough at a time. I love the different beaters, and even bought the cookie paddles. I have never been disappointed in the quality of the doughs made by this mixer. It is low enough that you can keep it out on your counter, or store it in a cabinet. You will NOT be disappointed with this machine!!

I am very pleased with the service of Overstock.Com, When I ordered my machine it was delivered in a timely manner and at a price that was what I could afford. I replaced my old KitchenAid that was very loud. I could not stand to be in the same room with it. However this KP26MIXCV is louder than I would like I can stand to be in the room. I made Cinnimon Roll Pastry today and it worked wonderfull they say to leave it on no #2 on the dough hook. The noise level came down after the machine ran awhile. I like making whole wheat pastry and I am very sure that I will enjoy the machine for years to come

The Mixer looks and works great! There are no problems thus far and it's as if it is a new appliance. Was very excited to receive it. A couple of things, though: 1.) The metal attachments, when they were first out of the box, left a black residue on my hands. I don't know if this is a polish that hadn't been fully removed, or some kind of protective coating that, again, hadn't been fully removed, but it was a bit alarming. 2.) The box the item came in made it VERY obvious that it was a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I live in an apartment building and it is custom (and usually there are no problems...) for the delivery person to leave it outside of my door. Well, the box sat there for three days with a giant picture of the mixer and KITCHEN AID MIXER printed all over the sides of the box! These items are expensive and anyone could've seen what it was a taken it. Thankfully that didn't happen. I know this isn't necessarily a problem with the item, but it was a bit shocking and I figured people would like to know (especially if they live in a neighborhood/building where theft could be a problem). Otherwise, I love using my mixer. It's beautiful, looks brand new, and I love the warranty attached to it! Thanks again!

No mistake about it, this is a BIG mixer. So far I've made 2 cakes and 4 loaves of bread. The unit works well, and the 6 quart bowl will handle anything I plan to make. I see that Kitchenaid makes a 7 quart version, but it's hard to imagine that a home cook would ever need that capacity. I've been using my old Sunbeam stand mixer for 30 years and know most of its quirks. It's probably going to take a little more time for me to get completely comfortable with this new powerhouse, but I already love it! Even though it says it is a refubished unit, I can see no sign of previous use. It was a great deal. I am really pleased!

I was a bit leery of buying "refurbished", but ordered it because it comes with a 6-mo. warranty and O.co offers a 2-yr extended warranty for under $. My daughter pointed out that family members have K-Aid mixers that are up to 30 years old and still perfect. Sold me. I tried it the day I received it - looks brand new, works perfectly. Extremely pleased.

Only had chance to use mixer once, but performance is far better than other mixers. I went ahead and bought the 2 year replacement warranty from overstock because I didn't want any hiccups.Shipping took a little longer than expected, but hey, it was free. Overall great experience.

I'm not going to bother with the specs on this mixer as they're already on the product description. But having received this mixer last week, and used it once to make a double recipe of cinnamon rolls that took 11 1/2 cups of flour. The mixer never missed a beat, kept a steady rpm and never got hot or even warm to the touch. I can see a lot of recipces going through this mixer over the years.

I have always loved how the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixers look, and I have heard rave reviews from everyone I know who has one, but I just couldn't afford to shell out $299 for a kitchen appliance that I wasn't sure if I'd use. I decided to go with the factory refurbished one because it has a 6 month Kitchen Aid warranty, plus we purchased the Overstock 2-year replacement plan. And even with shipping, I still saved over $100! It came 5 days later, and it was in perfect condition. I used it for the first time to make mashed potatoes, and it is the easiest machine to use!!! It makes cooking so enjoyable. And cleanup is a breeze!! I thought it would be a pain, but no! It's so simple. Totally would recommend this product to ANYONE who wants to enjoy cooking just a little more.

I bought this mixer almost 2 years ago, and I still LOVE it! The color is gorgeous. It sits out on my counter so I can see it everyday :) I was able to find a rebate on the KitchenAid website and sent in my overstock receipt to receive a free glass bowl too! It works perfectly, no problems at all.

Very sturdy and easy to use. Only problem in countered was the numbers on the dial were a little hard to read and the recipe for the basic pasta that was included with the attachment did not turn out very good after 2 attempts. Well use another recipe next time.
What exactly can you use a food processor for? It can be confusing to know what you're supposed to do with all the different attachments. It seems simpler to just keep using your old blender to do whatever it is a food processor does. A food processor is so much more than just a mixer. When you use your food processor, you'll save time, kitchen space and dishes. Another perk to these food processors is the wide variety of colors and finishes available. Not only will you create amazing food; you'll also get the option of matching your food processor to your picture perfect kitchen. It may seem a bit intimidating at first to have so many options, but once you get to know your food processor, you'll find that it is more than just a vegetable chopper. Don't let your uncertainty keep you from investing in a quality food processor for your kitchen.
