You can't go wrong with this mixer. I love the color, it's very close to a tiffany blue. I only wish my kitchen was big enough for a bigger 6 or 7-quart. But I already used it to make 2 layer cakes and it worked well. Now can't wait to get some attachments.

I had a KitchenAid mixer years ago but it wasn't a tilt-head so I sold it. Never wanted to spend the $$$ for a new one but saw these refurbished ones on Overstock. At about 2/3 of the regular price, this Artisan mixer is wonderful! Runs smoothly, perfectly mixed up our biscotti dough and came with attachments. The whole package looks brand new and acts like it too! So glad I finally have my KitchenAid Mixer!

After many years of wishing for this mixer, I finally purchased it. Because it was "refurbished," the price was great and I am very happy with how it looks and how it functions. I had previously used a 6-qt stand mixer and had two issues with it: 1) the paddle did not reach the bottom of the bowl so that the bottom of the bowl needed to be scraped a few times during the mixing process, and 2) in order to do that, not only did the bowl need to be lowered, but the paddle needed to be removed. In this 5-qt artisan mixer, the paddle reaches the bottom, so that issue is resolved. And when ingredients are added, the head tips back, so that the paddle need not be removed. So the cake-baking process is vastly improved. I have found only two minor negatives of this 5-qt mixer compared to the 6-qt stand mixer: 1) the smaller size of the bowl makes it a little more difficult to add ingredients and to scrape the sides of the bowl (but more compact size is better for a home kitchen counter); and 2) you can't get the excess batter off the paddle without scraping the paddle; with the 6-qt stand mixer you can lower the bowl so that the paddle comes out of the batter and then run the mixer so that the excess batter spins off the paddle.

I bought this for my daughter and her boyfriend about a year ago and they are still raving about it. Since it was refurbished I also bought the 2 year warranty which I thought would be sent with the mixer and it was not. I've sent a message to Overstock and am still waiting to hear back. Mixer is fabulous, yet disappointed in follow-through from Overstock.

I love the 4 1/2 qt bowl size of this mixer and I was surprised and pleased with the "stir" speed, that my older mixer doesn't have. I also love the apple green color. The mixer works effortlessly on mixing cookie, as well as pie dough and I am completely happy with it.

I was thrilled when I found this item. After I ordered it, I found a brand new model for less money than what I paid for the refurbished mixer at 2 different stores. The mixer works very good and I am happy with this product.

My wife and I had debated which Kitchenaid color to buy, as colors seen on a computer screen don't always reflect reality. We were looking for something in the gray family. Our trips to various stores weren't much help for several reasons: (1) limited colors on display, (2) mixers displayed where the salesperson couldn't identify the exact color on display, and (3) we found some colors that were no longer on the Kitchenaid website as current colors. The metallic series Artisan mixer we found on Overstock in brushed nickel was exactly what we were looking for, and was*** cheaper than any metallic series Artisan mixer we had seen. After the mail-in rebate, the price was ***. Slightly less than we would have paid for a regular color on sale at ***, etc. The picture on the Overstock website were an exact match to how the mixer looked on our counter. My wife hates to buy to buy things unseen from the Internet, but this time she was extremely pleased with the decision.

I've wanted a KitchenAid stand mixer for YEARS but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money for "just a mixer." I have had this for about three weeks and have used it more than I ever imagined. I use it 2-3 times per week on everything from cheesecakes to cookie dough to sourdough bread!! The red is beautiful and I feel like it is a beautiful trophy sitting on my counter. The clean up is so easy. Totally worth the investiment.

The Mixer looks and works great! There are no problems thus far and it's as if it is a new appliance. Was very excited to receive it. A couple of things, though: 1.) The metal attachments, when they were first out of the box, left a black residue on my hands. I don't know if this is a polish that hadn't been fully removed, or some kind of protective coating that, again, hadn't been fully removed, but it was a bit alarming. 2.) The box the item came in made it VERY obvious that it was a Kitchen Aid Mixer. I live in an apartment building and it is custom (and usually there are no problems...) for the delivery person to leave it outside of my door. Well, the box sat there for three days with a giant picture of the mixer and KITCHEN AID MIXER printed all over the sides of the box! These items are expensive and anyone could've seen what it was a taken it. Thankfully that didn't happen. I know this isn't necessarily a problem with the item, but it was a bit shocking and I figured people would like to know (especially if they live in a neighborhood/building where theft could be a problem). Otherwise, I love using my mixer. It's beautiful, looks brand new, and I love the warranty attached to it! Thanks again!
