After trying to find a good spot for my desk, I decided to fit it into a corner. At first I thought this would not give me enough office space, but it was all that I could do in my new home. I decided on this Mission-style desk because it fit the style of my other furniture and the dimensions fit my space perfectly. I absolute love the way it looks! I really like the bottom shelves to place my computer and other office supplies. The desk has a great keyboard drawer, so my monitor is the only piece on the desk.The delivery was within two days! The only negative review would be the poor quality of the cam locks and other hardware. We ended up glueing the piece together to make it more sturdy.

I've assembled my fair share of furniture from many different companies, and this was a nightmare of an assembly. As every other reviewer has stated, the instructions are extremely difficult to follow and attempting to follow the pictures is really the only way to go. There were so many parts and pieces, the pictures were hard to decipher. I found some of the pieces literally impossible to go where they should have (especially by myself) and although it looks nice and sturdy now, I'm still shocked every morning that the desk hasn't fallen apart considering it's missing some screws. Looks good now, but I would not recommend the frustrating 4hr assembly for the price. I'm thankful for the tip but feel extremely sorry for the guy that couldn't fit it through the doorway and has to take it apart only to re-live the process all over again.

I couldn't even give away the parts. I should have known there would be trouble when the directions started out with something like: "You CAN put this together if you follow directions to the T."

The desk is very nice but the instructions were hard to follow. Luckily I like a good challenge and just followed the pictures.

The tray for the keyboard is very fragile. It fell down after a week when my wife was working a put a little pressure on it. The desk look good once installed, was a little hard to put the pieces together, took me like 3 hrs do it. It was difficult because the instructions are very bad!

This was (once I was able to decifer the schematics) a good assembly project with great results. The legs and door face are all solid wood, and the finish is just as pictured. The base shelf holds our tower, speakers and printer well, and access to all three is as easy as it was in our previous desk. The wires are hidden below the shelf and behind the center post, so the appearance is very clean.The quality of materials is superior to any other pre-constructed piece we have purchased, and the price is comparable, and the delivery was prompt. The only things I added to the project was felt pads on the legs so we could move the desk across the wood floor without worry of scuffing and clips to hold the wires in place.The desk complements our living room-turned office nicely. We have a solid wood floor and provincial furniture in the room, so the mission style became instantly distinctive. With a large window close by, you don't get the feeling you are being remanded to a corner for punishment

I consider myself very capable of following directions, and have assembled my share of furniture that was purchased online. BUT, the directions for this piece were ridiculous. Directions on one page, illustrations on another page...would mention placement of certain pieces but not how many, so it's always a crapshoot if you're putting pieces in the correct places...a nightmare. Took hours. No lie. Maybe 4. And if that's not enough, finished putting the thing together, my son and I carried it upstairs to his room, and it wouldn't fit through a standard doorway. No matter which way we tried. I had measured the piece, knew it would fit in his room, but didn't factor in that it wouldn't fit through the doorway. Note to all: assemble it in the room where it will be used. Now it sits in my living room, not being used, until I calm down and disassemble it enough to get it through the doorway, where I can then re-assemble it. I can't wait. Yes, I'd recommend the piece, but with major warnings about assembly and inability to fit through a doorway.

The desk is stained beautifully. It matches other Overstock mission furniture I ordered. The delivery came on time, the desk was in good shape. Overall, a nice piece for the price.

Great quality. Excellent solution for work station. It was easy to assemble and instructions were easy to follow, however, some of the holes were not predrilled. Good idea to use wood glue for extra security during assembly. I'm overall happy with the product and service from Overstock too.

My husband assembled the desk, so I cannot speak to the ease or difficulty of assembly. He did complain that the wood split in one area while tightening a screw. But the desk fits perfectly in the corner of our living room and blends in well with our other decor. I have received compliments on it from everyone who has seen it. My only wish is that the shelves on the bottom were a little wider and had better support underneath each flat. But I am a statisfied customer and would buy again if necessary.

Nice solid attractive. The top of the desk had damage to it when initially received. We ordered a replacement piece and it came within a week. My husband put it together, I would not have been able to....

This unit is exactly what I wanted, very attractive piece and took hubby and I about an hour to assemble.

This desk is attractive, but what a challenge it was to assemble ! My husband & I spent almost 4 hours trying to follow the instructions which are very poor, plus we weren't able to assemble it until a week after its initial arrival because there was a part missing. A section of the desk's top is cracked, which possibly happened during transportation. I've never purchased anything that required assembly from Overstock before, & this was not an encouraging experience.

Received this in record time - just a few days. The quality is great for the price. Be prepared to spend an hour + assembling. It's surprisingly sturdy once put together. I'm fairly handy but not all of the hardware was as well fit as it could have been. Color and style is just like the pic. For the price I paid I am very satisfied with the desk and with Overstock.com. I'll be doing business with them again.

After using this desk for awhile, we are impressed with its sturdiness. There also is plenty of surface space to hold our 17" laptop along with speakers and our printer with room to spare. The bottom shelving has enough room to hold our storage baskets for paper and other accessories without being cluttered. Overall, we think it is a fine piece for the corner we wanted to fill in our living room, without 'sticking out like a sore thumb', it looks like it 'belongs' there! The only downside, if any, is that the setup directions are not in order of the setup, but with two of us, we had no problems figuring it out. We would buy this item again if we needed one for another room. Now we are going to buy the 'bankers chair' to go with it!

we did alot of searching around in department stores as well as on line...overstock .com beat everyone. " I LOVE " the finished product, even though i assembled it, it did take a little while, it looks store ready bought. my family loves it and we certainly love "OVERSTOCK .COM "

I love the desk. The looks, the ease of assembly, the only negative is that it has a funny smell which I find very strong. I'm not sure what it is. I would purchase it again and suggest it to a friend.

Very disappionted The assembly parts were cheap and didn't stay in place This is the worst assembled furniture ever owned way over priced for what I got . Side rail broke in two when trying to put together lowest quaity mfd i've seen.
