This desk has perfect mission styling and was super easy to assemble. Although it is not 100% solid wood, (has some veneers) it seems very well manufactured. The only thing not mentioned in the product description is that there is an opening for mouse and monitor wires in the middle of the desk top. Because of this, if you use the hole instead of hanging the wires off the back, and have a moitor that is not an LCD, it causes you to place the monitor smack in the middle of the desk top, about 8" from the edge of the desk. Even with a LCD, there is only about 12" working space from the front edge of the desk. It leaves a lot of wasted space behind the monitor. Overall though, it's a very high quality desk for the price.

Love the way this looks. Make sure to assemble in the room that you want this in, it did not fit through our door. Had to disassemble some of it, to get it into the room.

I read the other reviews before ordering this, thinking I could handle any assembly issues that were previously mentioned. To my surprise, everything worked out perfectly, with no issues at all. I could see where someone might think some of the holes did not line up, but that is because you have to flex the frame a little to get it in line and square, nothing more than that. This is a beautiful piece of furniture and easily worth twice the price. In fact, I recently saw it in a catalog for $399. I am thinking of ordering another because the first one ended up in my living room, not my guest room where I had planned it to go.

The mission style Oak corner desk is attractive but not functional. Two main problems are: first, the keyboard tray does not pull out far enough to be able to access all keys on even a standard size no-frills keyboard - numbers and function keys are not accessable - at all - without removing the keyboard from the keyboard tray. And, an ergonomically designed key board will not fit on the top surface along with a "now" typical 18" - 20" flat monitor --- defintely does not work to have a keyboard and laptom on the top surface. Second, there is no space under the computer for a tower, or a printer and your feet - one of the three but not two. I would not have purchased this item had I seen it in person!

I bought this desk almost three years ago. I use it every day, sometimes for many hours a day. It has held up beautifully and is a perfect fit for my small home office. It was relatively easy to assemble and has stayed tight and sturdy with no adjustments. The bottom shelves hold my standard CPU, a router and a surge protector with no problem. As with any wood finish, take care.

The Bad: I would have rated this desk higher except for the major hassle required to assemble it. I would only recommend theis kit to people that have assembled a Sauder kit or similar product. It took me 3 hours to assemble the desk. The Good: It does look great when finally assembled. All nuts and bolts were present in the parts bag. It is an oak veneer top with real oak leg and slat assemblies on the sides. I would think it may last 10 years or longer with normal use and wear. It is a good value from Overstock if you overlook the long assembly time & labor involved. I wold think if you bought this corner desk assembled from a local furniture chain you would probably pay $400 for a similar product so you decide is it worth it? Maybe.

This desk is everything we had wanted in a corner computer desk. It's stylish, functional and the price was reasonable. Great product at a great value!

I bought this desk for my husband for Christmas. He loved it and so do I. The instructions could have been written a little bit better, but as far as the desk , after I figured out the instructions it was easy to put together. I did it by myself. It looks great!! I would recommend this to anyone. It's nice to have if space is limited.

I love the idea of a corner desk because it gives me much more space in my small apartment while still providing an ample surface to work on. Love the shelf on the bottom and the mission-style. The instruction manual was pretty terrible. I didn't have too much trouble putting it together, but I took my sweet time puzzling over the manual because it is sometimes very hard to tell which end fits with which. Nice wood and color. My only problem is my desk chair has scraped up against one of the legs a couple of times, which has put some scrapes on the legs

I don't know why some people complained about the directions and the difficulty of putting this together. Honestly, I did it in about an hour, by myself, with two young children climbing all over the place. Each piece was clearly labeled and the directions described and pictured how each piece fit together. I did have a small bit of difficulty figuring out how to make the screw lock-thingys secure, but it was minor. Once assembled, the desk is beautiful and very well made. My husband thought that I paid much more for it than I did. I'm using it for my laptop and the keyboard drawer is perfect for storing a notebook and a few pens. I really love this desk and can't stop admiring it. I'm so glad I decided to go for it!

very nice desk...good qualtiy wood, not particle board...good instructions for assembly...only took about an hour or so to assemble..heavy desk that does not move when positioned

I am not happy at all with process from ordering to delivery. I usually would not comment but the site just keeps emailing me which frustrates me more. I will say that the customer service rep was very good in helping me get a new desk after the first one got lost somewhere/somehow. It was never found - with today's technology in shipping I don't see how that could happen. Add to insult, the second desk came in all damaged weeks later. I won't order again from this site or the company.

Arrived timely and in good condition. Fits perfect in my loft. Ideal size for my laptop, lamp and supplies. Would be nice if the pull out drawer for keyboard was an actual drawer for storage. Shelf underneath is perfect size for printer/scanner/copier.

This is a wonderful desk. Most parts are wood. Assembly wasn't difficult. It took about an hour start to finish, and everything went together easily. I would highly recommend this.

Not a very high quality piece of furniture and a pain to put together.. I've had mine about 9 months and its now in the corner of the garage and used as a shelf. If your looking for a quality corner desk, pass this one by.

I've been looking at this desk for some time and have seen it in a number of places.....the sale price finally made my decision for me. The desk was well packed and there was actually extra hardware included, so no worries about coming up short half way through assembly. I put it together by myself (I am a sixty something - small female). The only confusion came with the hinges for the door that houses the slide out for the keyboard - the instructions were confusing - but I managed to figure it out. I had experience assembling furniture with the locking screws - do observe the instruction for not placing the screws in too far if you have never used them before. Also put the majority of the piece together in the room in which it will be housed - corner pieces and doorways do not mix fully assembled. I'm sorry I waited so long to buy this piece - it is utterly perfect for optimum use of space in a small room and beautiful besides.

Took me a few hours to assemble. I am good at assembling. The instructions are vague, so it was a pain. Quality better than I expected. I have this with my nice living room furniture. It looks good. Large desk area. Holds sturdy. Drawer holds a basic small keyboard only.

We bought this desk for a small room holding an extra family computer. It serves the purpose. It is a sturdy desk with clean, tasteful lines.

Parts all VERY WELL LABELED, and seem to be of high quality. Hard to assemble - took 90 minutes. Instruction drawings were hard to decipher. The instructions and the drawings should have been more elaborate, larger-scale, and clearer. Would photos have broken the bank? Easy to attach 2 or 3 or the pieces upside down or backwards, but the others were obvious. Once it was all together I had to partially disassemble it to get it into the desired room. The "drawer" is only a drop down flap that exposes a pull-out surface. That surface is way too small to be useful, and if you extend the surface all the way, it tumbles right out into your lap. AGAIN: assemble it in the room you intend to use it. Because of its shape, there's no way to twist, tilt, or turn it to make it fit through a tight doorway.

This little desk was all we needed in our small place. Sturdy, lot's of desk area and I store the printer and shreader on the shelf below. It's a nice look in the living room and when people come by, it's not un sightly. A very good deal for under $$$ bucks! The matching file cabinet fits below on the floor as well.
