I chose thise piece to place in the entrance of my kitchen. I call it "Mommy Central" I already have a desk - but that is for my stuff. I wanted something for kids' school papers (permission slips, calendars, lunch menus, etc...). This is perfect. The instructions to put it together leave much to be desired. I made sure I was not around when my husband put it together (he-he!). The parts are not numbered correctly and the print is super light. My hubby kind of enjoys a challenge and had it together in two evenings (about 4 hours). It needs to be secured to the wall since the hutch and cabinet are separate pieces. We opted to bolt them together since our girls will not pull on it. Besides the instructions, for the money, it's a great little piece of furniture!

Very practical and helps with space - wish it was a little bigger. Good quality and easy to assemble if one is handy.

item came within a week of purchasing. assembly took a little longer than expected--the assembly directions pages were very faint--had a hard time reading the parts listing. overall, it turned out to be a good purchase and i would recommend overstock.com to others!

We like this hutch. It is very handsome and very functional. The only problem we had was putting it together. The instructions were incomplete and very hard to understand. My husband is very good putting things together so he made it work. I am not sure if someone who is not as handy could actually assemble it. That is the only complaint. A very nice piece of furniture. There is a cork board on the open shelf area so it is well suited for the office.

I have some other mission furniture of very high quality, and was looking for a piece to fit into a very small space among the others. This isn't quite the calibre of my other pieces, but I didn't pay as much for it either. It's OK for my purposes, but if you're looking for a genuine quality piece, I'd recommend waiting and investing a little more, later... Whereas I will definitely keep my other mission pieces probably through the rest of my lifetime, and leave them behind for my daughters if they want them, I will probably sell this one in a garage sale rather than move it to a new home.
