Mission Style Pineapple Motif Double Coat Hooks (Pack of 2)

We ordered these hooks for their elegant design, and finally got around to installing them today. Unfortunately, it has been awhile since we actually ordered/recieved the hooks and thus we failed to heed the previous reviewer remarks about the screws... shame on us. The screws provided are very cheap standard slot screws with a thin pewter finish to match the hooks. While inserting the screws into the pre-drilled pilot holes, the second screwhead broke completely in half along the slot. Of course this meant a loose hook, and because the screwhead was broken we could not unscrew the hardware. We removed the other screw without breakage, and drilled away enough of the remainder of the broken screwhead to pull away the hook, leaving a short stub by which we used clamp-on pliers to try to unscrew the broken screw from the hole. The screw broke again, this time below the surface of the door into which we were installing the hook. Ultimately, we had to drill out the screw completely, a tedious process to hold the door very still while my husband precisely drilled out the hole in an effort not to be left with a hole too big for the correct-size screw. A simple job turned into a headache with these hooks, perhaps worthwhile if you don't mind the extra effort but be prepared with good screws before you start installation.
