I have been wanting a solid wood bookcase with doors to cut down on dust. Everything I have seen has been over $1000.00. I ordered 2 of these bookcases. They arrived very well packed and completely assembled. The wood is gorgeous. I love the Arts and Crafts look of the furniture - the only design flaw is the rounded corners on the top of the piece. I feel that it would have been more authentic on this piece for the top be at right angles. Small aesthetic flaw on a fabulous piece of high quality furniture.

This is a gorgeous piece of furniture. It has a lovely finish, it is solid oak, no veneer here folks. It was delivered quickly, professionally and without incident. The piece is very heavy and solid. If you are on the fence about buying this, don't be! It is worth the money and the compliments you will get will prove it.

Beautiful, solid piece of furniture. Possible drawbacks for some buyers might be that the shelves are not adjustable for height and the glass panels in the door are not beveled as was described in the product information. (The agent who I spoke to said they would change the description in the catalogue for future shoppers) Neither of these features was that important to us and the case now holds all our family photo albums of 40 years. It adds elegance and class to our family room and is well constructed and sturdy. DEFINITELY A GREAT BUY!

Absoulutely, fabulous quality! The bookcases themselves are of unbeliveable workmanship. This was the first time I have ever order anything this big or this expensive on overstock. The service is second to none. The bookcases themselves were packed in "crates". I am so pleased with this purchase. I would not hesitate to order from overstock again. Beautiful, well built bookcase/glass cabinet. Made in China - but with care and from solid American oak. Nice stain color. Came well wrapped. I highly recommend this line of American Craftsman oak furniture. I bought a pair of night stands and the side table as well, and I am happy with these purchases, too.

Very well made and finished. I am completely satisfied. Disregard the "ease of assembly" rating; the bookcase arrives assembled.

These bookshelves are beautiful, solid and worth twice what I paid for them. Now is there a matching coffee table?

I absolutely love my new book shelve...it is solidly constructed and fits perfect in my home...the only concern and stress that I had involved the shipping company contracted to deliver my bookshelve and the attitudes of that company...if I were to exclude that experience from the entire picture I would have had to say that the experience w/ Overstock.com was a great pleasure being it was my first experience purchasing such a large item over the internet.

It's a large bookcase, 6 feet tall with plenty of room for even over sized books. It also has a shelf on top for display items. It fits nicely in a corner space and looks great when the sun from the windows hit it.

We like this bookshelf but the quality was a bit of a disappointment. It had a gash in it but we accepted it anyway because returning this would have been a hassle.

The bookcases were delivered/set-up quickly. And, the oak is "rich-looking". They are a great addition to the rooms, and my books are protected...very pleased with this purchase.

I love this bookcase. It shuts quietly and securely to keep dust out. The wood is a very nice finish just like the other mission living room furniture I purchased. The shelfs are very deep and the unit is very sturdy. It comes fully assembled which I was pleased about. You do have to be home for delivery so they can put in the house where you want it.

I could not have asked for a better product - perfect size, delivery was not painful because it does come completely together and professioinally delivered without any additional cost, and absolutely beautiful workmanship in the cabinet. Overstock continues to be my favorite place to purchase items for my home and continues to be the first place that I look for purchases and I recommend them to everyone!

Agree with enthusiastic reviewers. Will add that this stain matches the cedar-lined dresser and large computer desk, which are made by same company.

Overall it is a well made, solid wood item, appears as nice as expected. White glove delivery was easy too. However, after it was unpacked and signed for, and upon closer inspection, I noticed about a 4 inch split in the wood of the inner vertical side wall. It is definitely something that should have been noted on inspection, both by the factory and by myself, but return seemed like too much hassle (although for that price it should be perfect). It is not visible from outside, and I don't expect it to worsen so I kept it.

Very sturdy, very heavy. Everyone who sees it thinks it's beautiful. I have books, knick-knacks, and photos inside. They look great and I don't have to dust them! Think carefully about where you want the delivery service to place the bookcase because it is very heavy. You don't want to have to move it yourself.

I purchased this bookcase along with the desk and a file cabinet. It was way more than what i wanted to spend on office furniture, but i have absolutely no complaints that I paid what I did. It is first rate quality and it arrived very well packed. I was concerned about the quality of the product and certainly did not want to get into a situation where i had to return any of it (though Overstock has a pretty good returns policy). Anyway, the oak is quarter-sawn and all of these pieces are very sturdy and solid. I know they will be in my family and i know they will be passed down as these pieces will last! BTW: i priced these items by running the SKU# and overstock STILL beats the prices everywhere else for these same manufactured pieces. You will not be disappointed. As an aside: my husband NEVER gets excited about furniture buying, quality, etc. But when he saw these, all he could say was "WOW!!! This furniture is absolutely gorgeous . . . .WOW! where did you buy it.' Of course my answer was: 'My favorite shopping place: Overstock."

I received today in excellent condition....more than I expected. Very solid and came already together. Delivered right to the room I wanted it to. Very pleased.
