I was hesitant to order this set with out seeing it in person-but decided to take a huge chance. It is absolutely gorgeous-solid, strong, construction/oak with a darker stain-does not have the orangish tone some oak has. This is a heavy solid table with gorgeous true to mission style chairs-leather seats are quality leather in a dark brown-burgundy tone. We are thrilled with this purchase. Also ordered the grande buffet-it is an incredible/massive piece/felt lined drawers-dovetailed with quality drawer slides. This all shipped within a week..:) The boxes were kinda banged up and I was concerned-but the packing was protective and the furniture was intact and unharmed.

This is a very large and heavy solid oak table with solid oak chairs. The chairs have very nice leather seats that will last a life time. I ordered 2 more side chairs to complete the set. I also have the hutch. You can't go wrong for the price.

Solid oak, beautifully made to last a lifetime and beyond. The leaves do not store, and each fits to one particular end best. The leather seats are more a brown than burgundy. Comfortable, and seats 10, with extending leaves, comfortably. The "legs" bolt securely into the table's top, and it is rock solid. The table is heavy, it is solid oak, and requires two reasonably strong people to move it. Compared to the dining sets we saw in local stores, this was a bargain, and so very well made. I recommend it highly.

This is a highly well made dining set, and I have been using it now since Thanksgiving, and couldn't be happier with it. Just because I didn't think it was clear, the "leaves" for this table are actually "extensions", as they add on to each end of the table. With both of them in place, the table sat 10 very comfortably. This is a very nice set.
