I had been looking for a mission bedroom set for a long time when I saw this one on Overstock. I researched a little on the manufacturer and compared their MSRP to the prices shown here. Bargain! The color and look of the furniture is great and the construction is solid. It's hard to find solid wood furniture for a decent price these days, and this one was right on budget. My only complaint is the threshold delivery service. For large items, I think full service should be offered and most of us would be very willing to pay extra to have pieces this big (300 and 200 pounds for the mule chest and bed) taken upstairs to a bedroom. It has been almost two weeks and I am still trying to coordinate muscle power to get it up to my bedroom from the first floor of my home. Not being able to see it unpacked and check for damages while the deliverymen were there was also a put-off to buying large items from this site again. If you get large items, make sure to note on the delivery ticket that you were unable to check for damages at the time of delivery because of the type of service, even if the shipping crates appear undamaged.

I can't believe I am the only person to mention the furniture is oak glued together in one inch strips to create a solid wood surface. This is true of the drawer fronts, tops of dresser and night stands, bed posts etc. The only exception is the bedrail. That is one solid piece of oak. If you look closely at the photo you can sort of see the stripes the strips of wood cause on the drawer fronts. This is a legitamate way to manufacture furniture, but is is obviously a less expensive way. I only gave it 4 stars because had I seen this set in a store I may not have bought it. It is not the same quality mission oak that was sold at xxxx years ago (as I had been hoping). I still think this is a good price for what I got and I am satisfied. The white glove delivery was great. They even put together the bed with tools.

I truly love this bedroom furniture. My husband even said how nice this was. I was scared ordering something like this on the internet but I am so delighted with my purchase. The quality if fabulous. Love the color of the stain. Delivery people were professional and not a scratch. Thank you

I will admit I was very nervous making a purchase of this size online. There was absolutely no reason to be nervous. This bedroom set is absolutely beautiful and very well made. My husband and I looked for quite a long time in our local stores and could not find anything that was worth the money that was being charged, so we took a chance on this based on the other reviews. The furniture is very heavy, sturdy and made to last. The delivery service was very nice and professional. They placed the pieces in the room where I wanted them and made sure I inspected every piece before they left....even gave me instruction not to use furniture polish until it was in the house for a few days because the cold weather would make the polish leave a haze if used too soon. I was very impressed with them. Once again, Overstock.com provided a wonderful product.

I've had this set for a year and am impressed with the quality. Well made drawers, tight joints, even after move across the country (and ocean to Hawai'i). The bed is rock-solid. If you're looking for a nice set, this is it.

I've been searching for a Mission bedroom set. Most were a combo of solid wood and oad veneers. This is solid red oak. This set is worth every penny. One thing I will caution about. The mule chest is quite large. Even thought I knew the dimentions in advance, I don't think I realized how large it was gong to be. The movers were barely able to get up stairs to my bedroom, even with the drawers removed. You might want to consider getting the dresser instead of the mule chest unless you have a very large bedroom and you have easy access to it.

Amazing furniture! I am so glad I took a chance and ordered my first-ever furniture from Overstock. They did a great job with handling the delivery and the furniture is as described--well made, sturdy and great looking. Sadly, it arrived with some nicks in the wood--working with Overstock to sort out. Would definitely recommend this bedroom set.

The mission oak bedroom set is quality furniture at a great price. It is everything Overstock and the reviews said it was. I paid for it & waited several weeks to get delivery but the wait was worth it.. The white glove delivery service was included & they brought the heavy 12 drawer chest up a set of tight stairs at no extra cost. Great price & great service - thanks.

We did a lot of research online and in stores to find good quality solid wood furniture. This was the best deal, in terms of price and quality, that we found anywhere. The same bedroom set sells for twice as much in other stores. It was easy to set up -- all you need is a Philips head screwdriver. The delivery is very efficient (takes a couple of weeks though). Best of all, the set looks gorgeous. The finish is amazingly good... and it's made of heavy solid oak, not flimsy veneers. I highly recommend it.

Very happy with this purchase from start to finish. Great communication throughout the process. Furniture arrived damage free. The furniture itself is very high quality in function and appearance. It is beautiful! The entire set is sturdy, solid and HEAVY. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this furniture. I have purchased the additional 8 drawer chest.

Overall this is a fantastic bedroom set and quality furniture. The reason I gave it 3 stars for assembly there were two screws missing from the pre-assembled set up. So when I used two of the screws supplied for at-home assembly to fill the shortfall, I was short screws in the end.

This is a wonderful value. The furniture is well made....dovetail corners...fine fit and finish...the cedar is superb.The oak is solid and heavy.This set will render many years of service.

I've needed a new bedroom set for a long while and have been searching and searching for a quality set that was affordable and beautiful. This set has it all. The pieces are solid wood (even the backs!) . They have a beautiful warm color to them. The drawers are cedar lined! The set was delivered so quickly, I barely had time to clean the old furniture out. My delivery man did struggle with the weight of the solid pieces, but my son in law and I were able to get the furniture into place with the help of sliders - luckily we had no stairs to climb because it is extreamly heavy furniture (dresser is 333 lbs, each night stand is 76lbs but the bed is easier to handle since it is in different parts). The dresser is stunning to look at. It holds so much and the drawers are large. I like that the night stands had three drawers as opposed to the usual two as this gives me more storage. I have never been happier with a purchase on the internet, there just is no reason not to love this furniture! It is so well made and of high quality. The only thing I didn't find on it that I found on other high quality sets were drawer stops but I love the set so much that I don't miss them at all. Oh, and joining the O club saved me on the price along with the fact that I saved shipping, handling and sales tax fees - can't beat that!

I bought what I wanted, got what I wanted and the delivery was flawless. Just remember, a tip is customary especially when two people are carry 300 lbs up a flight of stairs into a bedroom without stopping.

We're so very happy. Very nice quality, nearly perfect. Delivery guys were great, but the delivery company sent an 18 wheeler, and we live on a one lane country road. Those poor movers wound up carrying all this HEAVY furniture up a 500 ft gravel drive. While we felt terrible for the delivery guys, it's not stopping us from ordering more pieces from this collection. And soon!

This furniture proved to be everything we asked for and more. Not only was the price great, the delivery and placement in our home was great too. Based on our experience, anyone not sure about buying furniture from Overstock.com should rest assured that they live up to their promises. I just ordered a tv and have no fears about not getting what I ordered.

This is an amazing set. We bought it for our son, but it will be used for generations! Quality and beauty all wrapped into one! The chest is very large, but it fits in my son's smaller room.
