Was a little worried about buying a bedroom set online. But we are very pleased with the quality and workmanship of this bedroom set. We recently bought another bed from a well known furniture store, same style as this bed. But the quality of the furniture store bed is not nearly as superior as the bed we bought from overstock.com. Plus the price was great.

I gave the product a poor rating, however, the poor rating is not on the product itself. The poor rating is entirely reflective on Overstock & the shipping company. This rating also doesn't apply to the final, local shipping company as they were very good to work with & embarressed by the incompetance of the other parties involved. I ordered this set on 1/10/11 & received on 3/9/11 after being told on 2/7/11 that I would receive by week's end. So by 2/8/11, I was completely emptied in master bedroom & awaiting delivery. Apparently the items were separated in shipment so It took an additional 2 weeks for chest & bed to catch up with nightstands. This wouldn't have been so bad, except that on 3/9 the set was delivered with the headboard only & no footboard or siderails so we still weren't complete. Delivery man knew coming in that box didn't weigh what it should have. We were then forced to wait another 4 weeks for the completed set to arrive. We were sleeping on the mattress & boxspring on the floor. Yes, we had to move them completely twice! We had many phone calls & emails to Overstock. Their answer was a $50 instore credit....are you kidding me? I spent more than that in time, energy & frustration!!!! The bedroom set is beautiful, cedar lined & looks great....however, I next time I will RUN not WALK to a local furniture store to buy. My husband didn't believe we'd ever see the footboards & siderails, so I guess we came out ok. I would never, ever buy furniture this way again. RUN, RUN, RUN AWAY! (unless you really enjoy living in chaos for 3+ months & heavy daily dose of frustration & waiting while you wonder if you threw your money away!) It didn't help our situation that the final terminal was 2&1/2 hours away & they only delivered this way on Tuesday & Wednesday so if item didn't reach final terminal by Sunday all bets were off for delivery that week. This was never explained to us by Overstock.. FYI Buyer Beware!!!

The bedroom set is very substantial and looks great set up. There was a problem with the metal slats being too long. However, my son was able to shorten them. This could pose a problem if a customer does not have access to someone who is capable of doing metal work. The side of one night stand was out of line. Again my son with a strong "whack" to that side got it in position. Yes, I would purchase the set again, but be prepared for some possible glitches that may need to be addressed.

I cannot say enough about this bedroom set! The quality, craftsmanship, and beauty are all perfect. It is such a solid piece, well made, and should last forever! There were a few minor scratches which Overstock quickly took care of. It is solid oak, and any set I looked at in a furniture store cost more for veneer! The movers were great, they only said if we ever move we might want to sell it with the house! Like I said, its very heavy! We absolutely love it!

This is a well made set. We have had it a month and we love it. The price was good at overstock. Love the rich look of the soild oak very nice.

Color - beautiful and rich; Construction - excellent, solid, very high quality, including REAL cedar drawer interiors, and tongue and groove construction. We bought the spindle style -- and the spindles are very sturdy. We were a little hesitant to make such a large purchase online -- a whole new bedroom set that we plan to use for the rest of our lives. We are, however, VERY happy that we did so! It is simply beautiful, and extremely well made. Delivery and set up was excellent, as well. Would recommend for a more costly purchase such as this one that you buy the high end warrantee, which we did. Very reassuring to know that we have that back up, if ever needed. It is an incredibly good plan! Only negative - a few VERY minor spots that required that I get some furniture stain touch up. Probably would have gone un-noticed by anyone else! So this was not a big deal. We order often from Overstock.com, and have been pleased with the products and service. Have to say, though, this is our favorite purchase so far!

I was skeptical of buying furniture online, without hands on.... However, when this furniture was delivered, I was extremely pleased with everything about it. Very sturdy, looks beautiful, and smells good, (cedar). It was everything they said it would be and more. The bed has 4 cross beams to support the box springs and mattress, so it is very sturdy. I would buy more of this brand if available!

We ordered this set and the eight drawer high dresser based on looks and the positive reviews of others. We have had the set for a month, and it is all we hoped for and more. The drawers work smoothly and are of the highest quality. Delivery was seamless with the gentlemen setting up the king sized bed and placing all the pieces exactly where we wanted them. This was important as each piece is extremely heavy since they are all solid oak. Our only glitch was that the 12 drawer dresser arrived with a dent on one of the corners. Overstock is sending another which we expect to arrive any day. If you are considering this bedroom set, just buy it...it is worth every penny and more.

Pictures don't do this set justice. The fit and finish of each and every piece is amazing. My favorite piece is the bed. It went together perfectly. There are 4 Heavy duty metal cross beams as well as two wood block supports in the center of two of the cross beams so there is no sound or movement of the bed frame when I get in. There is no doubt in my mind this bed will be in our family for 100 years or more.

This bedroom set far exceeded my hopes and expectations. I love the smell of the cedar and the solidness of the furniture. It is beautiful. The delivery was sooner than I expected and the men who delivered it were professional, courteous, and very nice. Thanks!

the furniture is solid, attractive, and had an added bonus of being made with cedar drawers. if you're looking for heavy-duty furniture that will last a lifetime, this is it. really pleased with this purchase.

This set beautiful and made of high quality wood. Well worth the money and the savings on shipping is incredible. Delivery went smoothly. This is a frugal person dream purchase.

The set of furniture is solid enough. It looks just as we can see in the photos provided by Overstock. I am happy with the purchase and will surely recommend friends to buy this set for the reason of its classic looking and durability. Another thing I just want to add is the nice smell of sedar when you open the drawers nightstands and the handsome chest.

We received this set today and it was in perfect condition. It is so beautiful and goes way beyond my expectations. It is true to the photo in style and color with no surprises. Every drawer slides in and out perfectly and the cedar lining is great. We did have to have a company bring the set in the house and set it up. The chest is extremely heavy and large and needs two people to lift and carry. I priced this set online and found it to be hundreds of dollars more than I paid with Overstock. Thanks again for a great product!!!!!

This bedroom set is absolutely gorgeous! The whole set is heavy, solid and the quality is super. I shopped around and could not find a better deal by far. I saved several thousands of dollars. The cedar drawers and solid red oak are beautiful. Really top notch furniture. The Overstock.com "oversized delivery" staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Wow! This is really a quality set of furniture. The mule chest is lined with cedar - a bonus I didn't expect. Furniture is solid, finish is great. I'm very happy with my choice.
