This cabinet looks nice overall. I was disappointed that some of the pieces came with rough edges exposing wood splinters. Had to use a stain pencil to blend. I thought the assembly on this was difficult. It took about an hour with the assistance of a professional engineer (boyfriend). It's a reminder for me to stay away from "assembly required" furniture. For the price, it meets my needs and looks nice...from a distance.

This is a very nice quality product for the price! I needed a friend to help me assemble it, however it is a lovely peice, and not that cheap pressed wood which you normally get with these items. I have mostly antique oak furniture in my home, and I could not find a file cabinet for my den in an antique shop, so this fit in perfectly with my decor.

File arrived quickly, my assembly team completed the job in about 2 hours, it was said that the transverse file purchased by a member of the team was easier to assemble. File works.

Received the cabinet very quickly. It was fairly easy to put together and is a solid piece of furniture. Would recommend it to anyone.

The instruction were terrible and it took forever to put together. The pullout tray will not hold if you pull it out to far. We had to flip a couple of the metal tracks because they were put in reversed. For the price this product was very disappointing. If I hadn't cut the box I would have returned it.

The file cabinet looks beautiful in the picture, however it takes an engineer to assemble. I am thoroughly disappointed. I so looked forward to having a functional office space in my home and now have wasted the money on this box of wood and screws. If I could figure out how to repackage this thing I would return it immediately. The only use that I might have for it is if it will be to burn it! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! BEWARE.

The cabinet is nice looking and quality materials were used. The drawers have built- in metal holders for hanging files, very convenient. It's a nice design and looks expensive. The big problem is the assembly. It's extremely difficult to assemble, directions are not sufficient and unbelievably, there was a hole not drilled in part 3, a crossbar, making it impossible to assemble. I had to hire a carpenter to come and drill a hole in the crossbar, and because it was an unusual size drill bit, the piece cracked, so he had to remake the crossbar from scratch. Also, I didn't realize it had to be mounted against a wall, to keep it from toppling over when just the top drawer is opened (if full). I was going to use it as a sofa end table, but can't do that now.

Spent about an hour and a half assembling this cabinet - as noted by other reviewers, it required drilling holes on the left side, however that was minor and well worth the time. The filing cabinet is a perfect size for our home office and looks great.

The quality is good. This is a solid filing cabinet. However, like other reviewers have commented, the holes do not all match up for assembly. This did not really affect the overall outcome since i was able to drill new holes myself. I was short one wooden dowel and had extra cam locks/screws left over.

This file cabinet is simply beautiful. Its color is dazzling, and it looks amazing, unlike most cabinets. I honestly couldn't be happier with it, and get a lot of compliments on it.The only drawback was building it. It was very hard and tedious. If you're not good at assembling furniture, don't buy it, it'll drive you crazy for about 2 hours... But for me, the beauty of the piece overtakes the hardship of building it.

For the price, it is the best file cabinet I have found. It did take me a while to put together and some of the holes didn't match up. Luckily, all the mismatches only affected the back inside drawer. It feels really solid and looks good now that it is put together (so much that I'm buying a matching one).

Extremely difficult to assemble and the holes don't match up on the right side. The hassle is not worth the price.

The directions were hard to follow and the hardware given was not entirely correct.For so much assembly being needed it was very overpriced.

Cabinet is of great quality, however when putting it together the pre-drilled holes on the right hand side were off both top and both. We had to drill new holes to complete installation.

Size is right. Looks OK. Except for instruction which I think told you to use six of the wrong screw type, I thought it was not bad to assemble. Biggest beef is my lap top (no sharp/hard edges) marred the surface finish almost immediately. Now there is a big streak in the finish right on top....
