We love it...would be hard pressed to say something negative...not only did it give us much needed storage, but it became a focal point for some decoraive items that sit on the shelf and on top of the unit. Price, as always, couldn't be beat - thanks! KP
Cabinet looks nice. The wood is good quality. If you look at the picture at the base of the unit, there's a cross bar. Depending on your toilet, this may or may not collide with the fixtures back there. It's kind of annoying to me that they didn't provide alternate holes for this. To mitigate this, they do provide drywall screws for the top so you can attach it to the wall. Even without the base support bar, the unit is surprisingly stable
The Mission Spacesaver looks fantastic. Each piece was numbered or lettered, with the numbers keyed to the directions, making it much easier to figure out what to do. Fortunately, I had someone help me put it together as it would have been a lot harder with one person. I agree with reviews that said that the stability brace at the bottom is best added after the unit is in place; we did that because the plumbing connection would have been in the way if we'd attached it before trying to put the unit in place. It's a pretty tight fit for the space available, but it worked, just. I'm not able to attach the unit to the wall due to irregularities in the carpet and floor, but may try an L brace to the wall later. The doors only open out at a 90 degree angle, not wider, so it's harder to access things in the cabinet than it would be if the doors opened wider. All that said, it looks so much better than the unit it replaced, and I'm glad to have it!
This stand was easy to put together and nicely fit into the space in my bathroom. It is a sturdy and well-crafted cabinet. I am thinking about a second one for my second bath.
Don't even think about assembling this piece with the low horizontal crossbar -- it isn't worth the trouble it creates assembling and removing the furniture. Once the unit is affixed (hardware included to do that) to the wall, it is fairly stable and safe. Removing the unit will only involve unscrewing it from the wall which is no big deal. The space between the unit and the toilet tank is small around 2 inches. The instructions are average and incorrect in at least one place, such as putting on the 3 back panels. Be extremely careful not to over tighten any of the hardware because they will either break or strip the screw holes. Many of the holes do not line up properly, which got a little frustrating. The finished product is very nice looking and really improved the look of our bathroom. I have not seen a better looking bathroom spacesaver anywhere. There were some cosmetic blemishes, most of which add to the authentic look of a handmade unit. However one of the doors had a perfectly round light spot which no doubt was where a hole was incorrectly drilled and then filled in with wood spackle. I colored it with a wood pen, and now is less noticeable. Overall, I am happy with it and would likely get again even with some of the aforementioned quibbles.
The mission spacesaver looked lovely in the picture and the wood looked of good quality when it arrived, but the tops of the small screws broke right off while I turned them into the wood of the door. Not once, but twice! I returned the first in order to give it another try and the second did the same. This furniture needs higher quality hardware! (Twice fooled, shame on me?) Very frustrating and time consuming.
My husband and I were having a hard time trying to find something for storage in our master bath. It is a small bathroom, so there weren't a lot of options. We originally bought a different spacesaver that looked nice in the picture, but was very cheaply made. We didn't even bother to put it together. This product is made of real wood and is gorgeous. It compliments are renovated bathroom quite nicely. Took a little while to put together, but it was well worth it. I am really glad I made this purchase.
I bought this item after reading the reviews. As usual, I still had questions in my mind. I shall provide a little clarification about this item based on the experience that I now have with it. First, while it isn't solid wood, it does come with thick veneer. The shelf has veneer on four sides. It would be over-simplfying things to say that this is cheap particle board. Many of the smaller pieces are actually solid wood, and there is enough irregularity in the pieces that it doesn't look so mass produced. There is no contact paper in this piece of furniture. (that I can see) Second, I would like to clarify that the windows are glass. They are not plastic. The hardware is also metal. Overall, when the piece is finished it looks very nice. There are no particular pieces to it that make it look cheap or tacky. There is enough wood in the piece that it has a nice woody smell to it, when you are working with it. In spite of this, there are a few aspects to it that caused me to give it less than perfect marks. The fasteners do not work well at all. They are they type of fasteners that lock around a pin, when you turn the screwdriver. They didn't lock that well at all, though. Also, mine was missing a part, so I was required to improvise. I didn't feel it was serious enough to notify Overstock. I'm sure they would have sent me a part if I had. Not everything was aligned that well. The result is a piece that looks good, but could annoy perfectionists. All in all, I am pleased with this piece. I believe it was a good value for the money. It is roomy enough to hold a water pitcher, cups, mouthwash & various other items. I wish that there were more stars in the scale, so that I could give a more accurate rating. I feel that this piece is above average in value and workmanship, but I feel that it falls short of a perfect score. It is reccomendable in my opinion.
We really love the Mission Bathroom Spacesaver. It looks great in the bathroom and goes very well with the mission style vanity I had purchased at a local hardware store earlier. I was able to put the spacesaver together myself with little assistance from my husband. The directions were very easy to follow and every piece was marked very well. The materials are of good quality making this a good value. I would recommend it and do.
I have a small bathroom that had very little storage space (no linen closet). The little space under the sink was not adequate for storing towels. So I bought this item. I am pleased with the way it looks and the functionality of it. The assembly cannot be called easy. You have to be careful about the direction of the side boards, which have nail guide holes on one side. We did not notice that and nailed the backboard on the side that does not have holes - result is we see little holes on the front. (which is not a huge deal as it turned out, since they are small and can be fixed with wood filler and stain, but those who buy this item, please be careful).
I put this product together in about 1 1/4 hours. All the parts were there and labeled well. The instructions were detailed enough and easy to follow. The product looks like it does in the picture. The only thing is that in the picture you can't see any connection between the toilet and the water hook up! The lowest point from the floor of the horizontal support piece at the bottom in the back of the product is 6 inches. Be sure to measure where you want to put this unit!!! I ended up just taking that cross support piece out. The unit is MUCH less stable, but it will work where I put it. This problem is the only drawback. Other than that, I am satisfied with the quality for the price.
The looks of this cabinet are very nice, warms our bathroom right up. The quality of the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired however. The directions aren't complete either so my husband (who is very handy) had to redo it after completing 1/2 of it.
i bought this and it was just a little complicated to assemble but like it so much better than the walmart metal kinds, adds a little more "class" to the room.

I really liked this product, I have had it over a year and it has held up quite nice!

It's very attractive once you get it assembled. It took several days after work trying to get this together. The cam lock screws were drilled too low to lock into the cam. I had to glue toothpick and raise it before i could put it together. I usually assemble ikea or other furniture and this was the MOST difficult piece I've ever had.

After it was togethor it fell apart easily! i put gorilla glue on it to attach everything, it togethor well now! It is not very sturdy because u need to attach it to the wall and i didnt wanna do that!!!

The overall unit once assembled over the toilet, the legs do not reach the flooe (I have a standard toilet) Also once shelf in even if it did fit would block access to ceramic toilet top when issues. I ended up mounting the cabinet and throwing away everything else so for me this did not work. Make sure you measure before you order
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? color match is superb
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Standard POS China product. My expectations were met

I was very happy with the product until putting together, which was very hard and the quality of the product once it was put together was not the quality for the price I paid. It rocks back and fourth and I hope it holds up. THe looks are good that is about it. If it would be easy to tear it down and return...I would.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? color was good

Decent bathroom shelf, good construction, arrived on time and in good condition. Fits perfectly over toilet and holds everything we needed it to.

Entire unit was too short. Had to add extra peg lifts to each leg to higher the unit to be able to fit over our toilet. :( which we do have a standard toilet so alot of people must experience this. Unit was scratched, very noticeable spot. Storage space is good, and we are going to add an extra shelf since it only comes with one. Since too large to ship back & hassel with that we are keeping, but probably not for too long. I would reconsider if you are thinking about purchasing this one. They have better ones to choose from. Color is pretty much a true brown, which is hard to find in these shelfs & matches our Chocolate Brown Bathroom.
