This is a great rug. It does exactly what my husband and I wanted it to do - incorporate the colors in the rest of the living room and warm up the space better than the parquet floor. It's not thick and plush, but it is soft and thick enough to give adequate padding without anything underneath. The color blocks aren't as solid as they appear online - there's a little variation, which gives it more visual interest. The only negative would be the rug/carpet/glue smell the rug gave off for about a week after we opened it up. Airing out the house helped a lot, so I would recommend getting this rug during weather good enough to let you open the windows. Once the smell was gone, we were very happy with our purchase. As other pet-owners have noted, it gives a nice surface for pets to play on.
