Millet 'Gleaners' Canvas Art

This painting was a large disappointment. I had previously ordered prints on canvas from Overstock that were very well done and with a protective glaze that gave the prints depth. This one is terrible. It looks like it was printed on a home inkjet, poorly at that. What I took in the photo to be digital noise, as is sometimes the case in some of the product photos I have seen here, is actually how the painting arrived. Look closely at the photo and you will see a little checkered pattern in the sky. That is how it looks in person only much more obvious. All of the lighter colors are terribly checkered. Additionally, the surface of the print has no protective finish on it as most canvas prints do and the result is that there is no fill in of the canvas fabric weave. I love this artist and looked forward to this piece for so long, I didn't return it right away but months later I still haven't hung it either. It's too disappointing whenever I look at it.
