Mikasa Bamboo Reeds 4-piece Dinnerware Set

My home is mid century modern with Asian theme. These dishes are perfect for my decor. Dinner plates are larger than most and don't fit in my regular dish cabinet. Thankfully I have another place to store them as they set off food incredibly beautifully. The salad plates seem to have a minor issue in the glaze - where the bamboo lines are added the black glaze underneath got displaced. Several have raised bumps on either side of the bamboo etch. Only noticeable in certain angle of light and once food is on the plate you can't see it. Does not seem to be an issue in the other pieces. They do great in dishwasher and microwave. Does not indicate they can be put in oven so haven't tried that. I got 8 place settings and will augment with more salad plates for buffets/large gatherings as the dinner plates are so large.

I purchased 4 of these dinnerware sets as a starter for entertaining adult guests. I goes so nicely with my dining decor. The design more delicate than typical stoneware ie. Fiesta. The plate sizes are substantial and the color/sign is consistent throughout the pieces. Mikasa also offers serveware on their website to go with this set. As always, a bit pricier than some other manufacturers but the uniqueness of this design is worth the expense. Everyone who has seen the set simply says Wow!

These will be my everyday dishware, but can certainly do double duty for occasions and parties. The plates are large and you know you are holding a piece of quality stoneware. I ordered 8 sets, which set me back a fair amount, but am not disappointed a bit. In shipping, the handle of one mug broke off, and a slight chip on one of the larger plates. I will be notifying O.co's customer service, and I'm certain they will make good on the pieces!

We loved them but it was my own error during purchase, not realizing that it was on place setting. Description need to have number of place settings included. Not everyone buys dinnerware on a regular basis.
