  • Very disappointed.

    frizbea  from DeLand, Fl, Rating:1.0

The reason I am giving this such a poor review is that it worked for a couple of times and then stopped "cooking." The microwave was very noisy, much louder than any microwave I have ever had. This was a replacement for a GE Profile countertop microwave/convection oven that was only three years old ($600+). The oven then stopped cooking/heating and became very hot to the touch on the outside, particularly above the touch pad. The last time I tried it before unplugging it, it began to smell as though wires were burning. I would have liked to have just replaced it, but was afraid to take that chance since the return shipping fees were approximately $33.00. If it weren't for return fees I would have bought another microwave from Overstock.

I noticed on the inside -the floor-some 'cracking' which then led to peeling and eventually rusting in slightly over one year of normal use. Contacted customer service and was asked to take and send pictures of the damage. I complied. After going back and forth with them I was informed 1) my warranty had expired. 2) the damage should never have happened ' with normal regular use of a microwave. However they were willing for me to ship the item back to them at my own cost for further assessment. I have had my Sharp microwave since 1996 and other than looking 'dingy' performs just fine.

  • Great little microwave

I live alone in a small studio apartment in Chicago and don't have the need or space for a large, high-powered microwave. After comparing the dimensions of this product to the space I wanted to put it, it looked like it would be a perfect fit. And it was! That made me very happy - as anyone who's lived in a small city apartment knows, it can be difficult to work with the space you have and make things look nice. As for the functionality of the unit - it does the job. It does not have as much features as a lot of microwaves, but who uses all those extra features anyone? It heats food up just fine, which is all I needed it for. It IS a very small unit but that's what I was personally looking for. Great for a single person who just wants to reheat leftovers, frozen foods, and water for tea. Very happy with it.

  • Good for the money

The one thing I don't like about the unit is that you can not stop the beeping when it finishes.

This is a very basic piece of equipment. It is very flimsy, when you pull the handle to open (no button to open the door) the side panel falls off. It is pretty weak, and takes a long time to heat an item. Not good value for the money
