I bought this bed, not for guests to sleep on, but as something to lounge on in our Sun Room. I bought a full-size memory foam topper and folded in half, covered it with a fleece blanket, and put it on the bed to make it more comfortable. The mattress is very firm, but from reading the reviews before I purchased it, I had expected that already. I don't know what it would be like to sleep on it, but that is not what I bought it for. (My two cats don't have any complaints about it, though...lol.) Assembly is easy; my nephew, who is 11 years old, assembled it together in a very short time. All in all, I would recommend it for someone wanting a small bed that is easy to put together, and for lounging on and watching TV or reading.
I bought this for my mom, who is staying with us for a month. When I received it, it had no assembly instructions, which I found frustrating. But, after staring at it for a few minutes, I figured out how to put it together --- it was pretty intuitive. It looks nice for a hideaway bed and it stores well (it is folds up nice and thin and has a dust cover). It is also quite sturdy, which was my concern when looking at other hideaway/rollaway beds. However, it is pretty hard. The foam cushion does not have much give. For use as a bed, I would highly recommend adding a mattress pad. I already had a twin sized 2-in memory foam mattress pad with a featherbed cover, which I put on top of this bed. My mom has been sleeping on it now for a couple of weeks and said it is very comfortable. She especially likes that she can raise the head of the bed so she's not lying completely flat. So, unless you or your guests like sleeping on hard surfaces, purchase a foam pad to use atop this bed.
PRETTY NICE ITEM, MY DAUGHTER PICKED PINK .THIS CAME SO QUICK, I REALLY COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST THEY SHIPPED . ARRIVED PERFECT. EASY , NOT MUCH TIME REALLY AT ALL TO PUT TOGETHER . STURDY , WELL MADE .IT WAS FOR MY DAUGHTER'S APT . AT SCHOOL .TAKES UP LITTLE ROOM AND FOLDS UP NEATLY.. IT IS FOR A YOUNG PERSON, AS IT IS WAY TOO HARD FOR ME TO SLEEP ON. NOW I WOULD USE AS A POOL LOUNGER. BUT , WOULD NOT WANT TO RUIN THE MICROFIBER. SO FOR A KID OR YOUNG PERSON ,IT IS PERFECT.IT IS NOT WIDE , I WOULD ROLL OFF TOO ... SO DON'T BUY IT FOR GRANDMA TO SLEEP ON .I AM SATIFIED VERY MUCH , BUT REMEMBER IT IS A VERY HARD ( NO GIVE ) SURFACE...
Purchased this for my niece to sleep on one week & spent an extra $60.00 to get a 3" memory foam topper - It was still way to hard. Ended up selling on ******.
I purchased this bed to be near my infant grandson on the nights he has sleepovers with Grandma and Grandpa. It is a pretty color, nice fabric, rolls to easily fold and unfold, has a nice cover, and doesn't take up a lot of space. I really like that it lifts for reading. The bed feels solid overall and well-built. The cushion is firm (yet, in a way that will make the bed last). I took the advice of one reviewer, and concomitantly ordered a 3" Queen memory foam, which folds in half to the same width of the bed. (I didn't even try it without the foam.) I'm tall and thin, so anything less cushy would not provide enough cushion for my hips; you can feel the area where the bed folds. A child's bed sheet (77" long) perfectly fits the folded memory foam. The instructions were incomplete, as others commented (thus, 4 stars), yet easily waded through with patience and common sense. I'm mechanically savvy, yet had some minor redo's from lack of clarity. First, the end bar with single roller should sit above the mattress pad, so that the two small wheels will end up on the floor when the bed is unfolded. Second, there are large and small washers, yet it is not indicated which to use when. The small ones are used in the beginning, reserving the large ones for the final side bars. Other than that, it came together pretty easily, I'm so happy with it, I might buy one to store at my grandson's home, for nights I visit there. The value is really 5 stars; I gave it 4 because of probably needing to purchase foam. Even so, the bed is worth it.
Not a bad looking piece, and it takes up little space when it is folded up, wheels easily. Tilting back is a nice feature. Lacks useful assembly instructions and is too hard a surface for comfortable sleeping. You will want to add a thick foam pad, as others have mentioned. Not hard to assemble once you look at the photos here on overstock, and read the review on this item that explains assembly. BTW the four thick round bushings are spacers for rails that bolt onto the side.
At first I thought I would need help assembling the bed because there were no instructions, but once I got started I was able to put it together in less than 30 minutes. I found it comfortable enough to sleep on for one night but would need extra cushioning for longer periods of time. Its also useful as a lounge chair and is a very attractive addition to my patio furniture.
This is really a great product. It is easy to assemble, set up and take down. However, all the folks that say it's hard are right. Given that I was warned, I cannot now complain. I am tempted to get another to have when our kids have friends sleep over. Absolutely no complaints.
I love the bed. The assembly instructions are one page of parts with absolutely no words. This bed is mostly put together, You have to put on the end rail and the wheels and through trial and error you will figure which gets washers etc. I still have one part a long silver bolt-like thing with a chain, it looks like a locking part that goes into a hole to lock the bed in place. Unfortunately I can't find the hole it goes to. This is a great bed for a guest room. It's back comes up so you can use it like a chaise lounge. It folds up nicely and rolls around easily.
Very comfortable sleep. When my company sleep over, they always talk about the good rest.

I purchased this bed to use as a spare for company. The directions were so poor - no words, just pictures - that neither my husband nor I could complete the assembly. I returned it and was given a complete refund. Return was easy, but I had to call them a couple weeks later to remind them to refund my money.

This bed has become very useful to us since we always have visitors. It can't fit a fat person or a very tall person. A skinny person may have comfort issues because the padding isn't great. You need your own cushion to enjoy this bed but then again a fatty wouldn't fit on this thin bed. I love it. I put an extra blanket down for softness and it works great. You sill need a mattress pad or some cushion to fill up the gap in the middle of the bed.

Pay attention to the other reviews prior to purchasing this item. It looks beautiful; however, you will need to buy a memory foam to make it comfortable.

This bed is perfect for a weekend visitor. The price was right. It's easy, clean and I like it very much.
I purchased this to use in the hospital while I stayed with my sister during her surgeries. These were lengthy surgeries and stays, and I thought this would be better than the 'hospital recliner' sleeping situation. I was so WRONG! I would have been better off sleeping on the floor with a sleeping bag! Sleeping on a rock would have been better, and when trying to use it upright as a reading seat...ouch! I wound up getting extra pillows and putting them under the fitted sheet for some cushion. It is VERY low to the floor, which might be good for kids...but not adults! It was also difficult to assemble, so I say 'keep looking'...there IS something better available!!
THE PRODUCT IS EXACTLY AS IF FELT IT WOULD BE.......GOOD BED FOR ANYONE TO SLEEP ON.
Appears to be quality made but is probably only going to be used in emergency situations. It only sits 12-15 inches off the floor which makes it inconvenient for adult use. Would be functional for kids or maybe camping but not much else. Once received disappointed in product vs. price as I could have gotten a twin rollaway for same cost and this was more a cot than a bed.
The bed will meet the needs it was purchased for with the 3" foam. It is too firm to use without a pad. The instuctions are terrible and very difficult to understand. If you are not mechanical it might be difficult. The holes for the extra set of wheels that make the bed even were not properly spaced so new holes had to be drilled to install the wheels properly. Could have sent it back but way too much trouble to wait for a new one, that still might have the same problem. 3 stars just because of the hassle of getting set up.
We bought this for a guest bed. The product is very well made and was assembled without too much difficulty. The quality is very good. It is very hard though and that is my main objection. This bed can be made comfortable though with the addition of a 3-4 inch mattress pad. So, while not ideal, it fits the bill for us. I just wouldn't be able to sleep on it as is, without the addition of more padding.
Though pretty hard, the bed is solid and substantial, a worthy factor in a fold-up bed. The mechanics of folding up and folding out are smooth and smart. I'll be adding layers of Thermarest and/or other padding under a sheet (twin is too large but can be clipped together underneath) and it'll be just fine. I just slept on it for three nights to test it out for guests, adding layers each night. It'll be just fine as long as I let people know it's not really wide and a bit firm:)
