These sheets are advertised as 400 thread count, 100% cotton and I think this is misinformation.The sheets clearly have a latex/plastic feeling on the back side. They are rough (like a much lower thread count) and do not breathe (like polyester). Buy them if you have a bed wetter and they will probably protect your mattress, seriously! All that being said they do look great, perhaps as eye candy on an extra bed?
The sheets were definitely a good price at Overstock.com compared to several other websites and the department store price. The sheets look good, but they are very stiff. I have had to wash them several times and I have even used fabric softner to break them in. After about 5 washes they are now tolerable, I plan to wash them with fabric softner a few more times in hopes of making them more comfortable. I have to admit I was disappointed with the fabric quality, this being a Michael Kors brand.
A great buy on a high quality product!!! I did comparison shop and Overstock had by far the best price.
