Nice looking and such although the bulbs give off a strange color. They are very small and expensive halogen bulbs. One bulb did not work when we opened up the box and installed it......
The Metro II was easy to install. The directions corresponded well with what had to be done. I had no issues putting this in and I have never done this before!The Metro II looks great once in. It was easy to assemble and once completed, it looks fantastic.I would recommend this for anyone who is up for modernizing and changing their current bath.
I chose this with budget in mind...i've never used a light with the small halogen bulbs before and they are dimmer than you would expect. Overall though the look of this fixture is unlike anything else i could find in all my shopping. A similar product was 3 times as much and was backordered forever on another website so i opted for Overstock's option. Product arrived well packed, no broken parts, all pieces present, easy install. Dim lighting not as important as i have alternative lighting in the bathroom. If this is your only source it might be too dim for you.
Our new bathroom is fairly modern. We have brushed stainless fixtures ( faucet, vanity handles, towel bars, etc., So we weren"t looking for cute or Early American. This seemed to fit the bill on the website. Big box,well packed, although a small corner of one of the glass pieces was broken off. Since the ends went through a slot in the metal fixture, becoming out of sight, so it wasn't a problem. I would have thought the bulbs would point down, pointing to the mirror, but the opposite is true. It assembles in a clever way which seems simple. Everything fit. My friend/ builder didn't complain about any installation problems. The light, although not overwhelming, does seem to be fine, even before we put in the big mirror underneath. It is solid and different...a nice complement to the bathroom. My only worry is the bulbs. They are small, fairly high intensity, and I don't remember seeing them in the stores. Hopefully, replacing them won't be a problem. Shouldn't be.
